The ability to find colors in documents in now available in InDesign’s latest release 16.0.
It can be found in a new tab of Find/Change dialog – Color.

Hi All,
This indeed a great suggestion. I wanted to understand a little more about this request.
1. The way this request is described its majorly about figuring out how to change the various text attributes in a single step rather than having to change multiple styles to make that happen. It would helpful if you can mention which all attributes you all would want to be dependent on the baseline (space before/after, size, leading any other).
2. Which kind of documents (magazines, brochures, books etc.) do you see this to be more important for you.
3. Wouldn’t a similar method (not sure if we could base it on baseline though!!) for changing the layout also help, if you could define the sizes of objects in relation to the page size. Do you think extending this feature to the layout also makes sense.

A more broadly useful implementation would be to allow the designer to specify font size, leading, paragraph spacing, etc., in styles to be based on a defined em. There are any number of values (text wrap space around an object, text frame inset, gutter width, margins, and, yes, baselines, just to give a few examples) that would be better expressed as a fraction or multiple of an em than an absolutely point size. This is already thoroughly implemented in the HTML specification, and would presumably make conversion from InDesign to HTML/ePub simpler to code (and to script).

We have recently started development work on Convert PDF to INDD. Going forward, we will keep adding more functionality and refining it.
The feature is available as a Beta feature in InDesign 19.5 Beta version, available via the CCD app.
Note: For now, it is available only when InDesign's install language is English (North America or International).

“Place Video from URL” option has been restored in the latest InDesign update – version 15.1.
Please update InDesign to use the feature.

Ravi, the whole value of "Place Video from URL" is that it permits use of CDNs such as YouTube and Vimeo.
Like most InDesign users, I never suspected that this functionality still, in 2019, expected the video "to be compliant with Flash Player." On the contrary, most of us assumed that because YouTube et al have long since moved away from Flash, InDesign had naturally evolved to keep up. The Help documentation online has long said that "The video must be a valid H.264-encoded file," which is NOT Flash, and doesn't mention anything about needing Flash Player..
Your marketing folks have loudly promoted creating interactive content and rich media documents with InDesign, so you should not be surprised that the disappearance of an important rich media capability is a complete shock.
If you want examples and use cases, look through the many documents up on "Publish Online." Even the Adobe-created examples for Publish Online use video.
I don't buy the idea that "it was no long possible to support this particular option,." That's an excuse, not an explanation. You do not need anyone to send you examples of video clips located on web servers. There are hundreds of millions of them online. That you even ask for them suggests that you and others are not paying attention to what your marketing division promotes and your customers rely on, far less to the current publishing scene in general.
The bottom line is that the team has removed very important functionality and should be taking URGENT action to replace it and fix the big problem you have created for your customers.

There are times when a paragraph style can't be "Based on..." the one that has the needed GREP style. It's relatively rare, but it does happen.

Don't forget that colors can be hidden in a character or paragraph style, too, or in a placed graphic! It can be a nightmare trying to find a tiny application of a CMYK color in a long document that must be spot-color only for output.
The quick way to check for stray swatches is to "select all unused," delete them and see what's left, but that can lead to wasted hours of searching when the offending swatch is only in a style or an option (e.g., paragraph shading when it was cyan by default).
