Thanks for reporting. We will review the bug

An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedThis is the main reason I waited so long to update. This is ANNOYING when every other window honors the system setting to minimize on double clicking the title bar.
This known bug has been "under review" for FOUR COMPLETE RELEASES of the program.
Can we get this taken care of before you add any more silly features that none of us asked for?

An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedSUPER annoying. We can't even set it as a DEFAULT when there are no files open like we can with other things. It's a daily frustration to have to toggle it back.

The ability to find colors in documents in now available in InDesign’s latest release 16.0.
It can be found in a new tab of Find/Change dialog – Color.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedThere is a way to do this using transparencies, and I was able to accomplish a merge with colored QR codes... but it was pain to set up.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedThis is a bug. Splitting the PDF file on export has always been a selectable option. It *should* work.
An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedAn error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedThis has NEVER worked for me and it's frustrating to have an option for batching that doesn't work. If Adobe doesn't want to fix it, they should at least gray it out!

An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedYou aren't. I output over 100 pdfs a DAY and having a faster way of using a PDF preset, other than navigating through the drop down for each and every one is CRITICAL for my workflow. I have a couple of scripts that can take a folder's worth of INDD files and create PDFS, but most of my work is individual files in individual folders. I can't batch save them.
So there I am, having to click through layers of menus to get to a PRESET that was supposed to save me time.
When it takes the same amount of time to navigate two levels of drop down menus as it would have to just save as a PDF and put in all your settings; we are saving NO time by having a preset.
The request: Give us a floating palette with out presets as BUTTONS we can float with our other panels.
We want to be able to open a file and click a button to make a PDF.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sherry Baker commentedThis has NEVER worked for me and I need for my manager to be able to preview INDD files so she can tell which file contains the job she needs. Otherwise she gives me a list of file numbers and names and I have to go through and open each one, save as a PDF so she can determine which file is which.
Can confirm preferences are set to save previews. I've even (on the advice of the InDesign Secrets forum) Opened INDD with no documents open. Deselected save previews. Closed INDD, Opened, Reselected save previews, Closed INDD again, then reopened it. I've done the dirty save. NO Joy.
Before this I used to just see the INDD purple icon, but noticed today that I now see a white box with instructions. Figured I'd follow them. Still, no preview.

We've just released InDesign 17.2.1 version which addresses this issue.
Please update to this latest version using Creative Cloud Desktop application.
In case the fix does not work immediately for you, please try the following:
1) Quit InDesign.
2) Delete the following:
on Mac:
/Users/[yourname]/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign
/Users/[yourname]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign
on Win:
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign
Relaunch InDesign & see if it works properly now.

Merging to PDF is still broken. It doesn't matter what pages or records you specify, it will always result in a PDF document with all the pages.
