    WARNING: It seems that this bug IS NOT FIXED with Adobe Illustrator 2020 version 24.0.
    Just tested this as well.

    FWIW: This bug seems to be fixed with InDesign 2020 version 15.0.0.155 that was released this week.
    Of course still an issue if you are working with CC 2019, CC 2018.1 or CC 2017 etc.pp

    My tests were made with my German InDesign 2020 version 15.0.0.155 on Windows 10.

    German InDesign CC 2020 version 15.0.0.155:
    The drop down for "Farbe" should be much more wider so that we can read the name of the default swatch easily.

    Hi,
    What all things would you like PDF to retain? (alt text, tags and what else?)

    Currently when PDF is imported, its imported as a single graphic.

    Would you want the tags and alt text to be mapped to their correct assets in InDesign? and those tags and alt text be also editable from within InDesign after PDF is imported?

    Or should they be remapped and restored once the document with placed PDF is again exported to PDF from InDesign?

    Would want to know more about the proposed solution / workflow

    Hi,
    1. The majority of InDesign Scripting threads were merged and archived at first.
    2. After a month or so, InDesign Scripting re-appeared as its own topic in the new forums.
    3. David K. started un-archiving older threads last week, a few at a time, very slowly and by hand, because of odd server-side limitations.
    4. There is no “Direct Link” to the Scripting Topic at this time, but this ought to be fixed with the current sprint from the forums team. The internal bug number is: ALFD-1530

    While we wait for ALFD-1530, there is a backdoor way to find direct links to topics. You can follow a topic then look at your follows… or just use these links:

    Hi Lantian,
    I cannot see this issue with InDesign CC 2019 version 14.0.3.433.
    Auto fit can be made as default.

    However it is true that it is definitely an issue with InDesign CC 2018.1 version 13.1.1.110.
    CORRECTION: My last statement is wrong. Just tested again with CC 2018.1 and it is working now.

    I'm on Windows 10 Pro version 1903, German.

    Hi Dimitij,
    a longstanding bug, I think.
    Already saw this with e.g. InDesign CS5.

    The issue is the alignment of the stroke: Inside Path

    Also test different types of images. JPEG, TIFF, PSD and ( just for testing, but not for production: ) EPS saved from PhotoShop.
    I can recall that in one occassion EPS was superior to TIFF or JPEG, but nowadays with color management in mind no one will or should use the EPS file format over a TIFF, JPEG or a PSD file format where ICC profiles could be applied.

    Hi Scott,
    I cannot see th issue on my Windows 10 machine, but that does not mean anything.
    Had this issue years ago with InDesign on Mac OS X.

    Could well be also an issue with a combination of operating system, graphic card and InDesign version.

    Hi Eric,
    you already can do this today.
    Under the hood this feature is already there. It ever was. At least for InDesign CS4 version 6 and above.
    But it's quiet a hack and involves editing an IDMS file or an IDML package to get a new color that is not removable and/or not editable.

    Background: See into page 265 of the idml-specification.pdf with Schema Example 96. Color for available attributes.

    Thank you for reporting the issue to us.
    We have fixed the issue in the latest version of InDesign, Id 14.0.3

    Please upgrade your InDesign application to the latest version to try out the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud desktop application, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right corner and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

    Hi Raphaël,
    me too. It's either a bug or an unfinished feature.

    The problem is not only with page margins. Also with number of columns and gap between columns.
    An applied master in CC 2018.1 could also govern this. Not more with CC 2019 14.0.0.130.
