PNG Export Quality
There is a huge difference in the rendering quality of JPEGs vs PNGs in InDesign.
See attached document that demonstrates the difference between the two formats, exported from the same InDesign document, using maximum quality, 72 DPI with anti-aliasing turned on.
The obvious differences are the moiré in the white top and the edges of the legs in the girl at the bottom, including the fine detail in the stitching.
It would be great if the PNG export engine could be improved.

InDesign v 16.1, Mac OS 11.2.3 on M1 laptop. Adobe Typekit does not consistently load fonts into InDesign.
Please check the Typekit usage and activation in InDesign. This is a huge problem that is slowing me down. I am trying to load Freight Neo Pro and it is missing intermittently from my files. Other fonts from Typekit have also done the same thing. I also use Suitcase Fusion to manage my own installed Fonts.

Locating the correct pin
When working on corrections to non-linear blocks of text (infographics, maps etc) or where the client corrections are not in order, it would be useful if the colour of the pins changed when the comment was selected

Extend conditional text
Conditional text is a nice feature, but only applies to text parts or paragraph. It can be used to show/hide images and tables in flow text, but it also be nice to hide single rows in a table being marked as conditional.

title of file is wrong and shows up in pdf bowser tab
When Indesign converts to pdf, it is carrying over a title that I can't find or edit to the pdf that then becomes the title of the browser tab when it is uploaded online. Horrible! It has done this with every newsletter now for years and we can't find where to change it. Title should not say "Kailin Mooney, Eastlake Resident/Food Bank Employee". How can I change this?

search/replace
So you have extended the search/replace function with the colors in the update. What is still missing is the search/replace of hyperlinks. Example:
https://www.xxxxx.com/de-de/product-information/?context=16128696
Replace only it-it

InDesign version 16.1. Hyperlinks interactivity function not working properly.
When creating hyperlinks within a document, certain links, although functioning within the hyperlink panel, do not translate as links when published online or as an ePub. This is completely random, as other links set up in exactly the same way (often on the same page) work fine. Have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue myself but can't figure out why it is happening.
Steps to recreate the issue:
1. Set up document
2. Set up multiple hyperlinks (mine are objects rather than text)
3. Preview in interactivity panel and/or publish onlineExpected Result: Links should be in the document. Links should appear as clickable when hovered over.
Actual Result: Some links do not appear (randomly). This happens no matter what you do to try and change it. Even if you try adding various other links to the selected object, or adding the same link that works in other objects...some objects refuse to translate as hyperlinks in the published version.
I'm pretty sure this is a new issue, although I have tried reinstalling old versions of the software and the problem reoccurs. So have updated to the newest version again. Please help! Thank you

Colour Profile Reset Issue / Sync Adobe Indesign 16.1
It is becoming a bit of a issue when after updating to 16.1. The colour Profile resets to this setting. Then again going to bridge to set up the original profile again. After a few hours, closing the program, it resets again.

page numbers incorrect
My Book has multiple InDesign documents and 2 sections. Page numbering works fine except where the first doc in the main section is concerned. When I change the order in the Page window by dragging docs and dropping them between others the page numbers change to reflect that. When I try to change the order of the first two docs the one which was second becomes first but retains the old page numbers. The one which was first is now second but its page numbers begin with page number 1. See video.

Balance Columns leads to severe performance issues
Whenever I have longer text documents with multiple columns I want to use "Balance Columns" to make it, well, better.
However, whenever I start using Balance Columns in my documents I always run into severe performance issues.
Example: Right now I have a document of ~100 pages (one text flow). I have not enabled "Balance Columns" on all pages due to performance (and the fact that another bug prevents you from doing this from the master page), so I have manually enabled it on a page-by-page basis for pages I feel need it (I'd much rather just turn it on for the whole flow).
On many of the pages where the frame is using "balance columns" it is literally laggy to type text into the text box - even if the changes are so minor it shouldn't make other pages reflow, yet it feels like it's reflowing all 100 pages for each letter i type... Temporarily turning off "balance columns" while making text changes makes it responsive (but then I don't see the end result).
Attempting to import PDF comments, and just clicking "accept" on simple single-word replacements were so slow on "balance column" pages that it the PDF comments panel literally started to bug out (not correctly updating comments to "accepted" after accepting). Again, even if the changes are so small they should not affect any other pages. And balancing two columns on one page should effectively be instant, not take several seconds for every text edit.
There is something bad going on with "balance columns" performance-wise (at least for longer documents) and you need to have a closer look at it. I don't know what's causing it. Is it footnotes? Keep Options? I don't have time to troubleshoot.
Ps: Adobe FrameMaker don't even blink when we have 500-page documents with balanced columns and make major edits to the text causing everything to move. So it should be possible to make "balance columns" responsive.
