Copying a page: Wrong position
When making a copy of a page, for example a copy of page 1, the new copy lands on a wrong position in the page palette.
1. Click and drag page 1 in the page palette while holding the alt-key. Then move mouse to the right, until a line appears between pages 1 and 2.
2. Releasing the mouse button should result in a copy of page 1 between the original page 1 and 2. All subsequent page numbers should increase by 1.

Page Margin Issues
When creating a new document using a preset with a margin, the margin is ignored when the document is made.

Upon opening app 'Pages panel' does not launch
InDesign doesn't seem to record the preference of keeping open the 'pages panel'. On each app launch (despite on closing the last session with the pages panel open), the pages panel does not appear.

Object does not stay in center of document after resizing document format
Hello, I found some weird issues in Indesign CC 13.1 on Mac OS El Capitan.
When I place an object centerd in the middle of a document (for example
500 x 500 px) and I resize the document size to for example 700 x 700 px (something larger than 500 x 500), the Object won't stay in the middle, but moves to the right or left border - even I set the reference point within the transform-window to "middle" and also disable "double page".Why does the object not stay centered at the document format?

double layout page has become a PB spread. some pictures missing
In a 36 page document one double page spread has become a PB spread. some pictures missing, page numbers should be 8 and 9 but show PB instead, page background is grey instead of white, see screen shot attached.
This is a disaster as I have to get the completed magazine to the printer ASAP!

Errorcode 2 too now.. (in Addition to Errorcode 4).. Database // Writing Rights...
After having troubles with errorcode 4 since CC17 and High Sierra, now Errorcode 2 enters the stage :(.
First Symptoms: If you are working on a document and you have to re-save it under different names, e.g. you are working with a kind of template and have to import assets and save the INDD files... you always stay in the folder of the file after using "save as" ... but in this case the Indesign points to something like "documents" or another default folder after clicking "save as".
After that i am not able to save the files or load…

Pages/spread overlapping after changing page size
InDesign 2018 CC 13.0.1
Pages and spreads are doing weird things when I resize my document. It creates some odd margin after resize of pages. I start out with 2 pages, document shuffling allowed, facing pages turned off.
Pagespread01112617 - shows the page spread I was working with; each page is 10”x12.25”.
Pagespread02112617 - after I changed the size to 10.68”x11.239” for another ad spread, a weird margin showed up. The content boxes show how there is an odd overlap; each box is 10.68" wide.

Objects on canvas move down when new page created
Have just noticed that when I create a new page in the middle of a multipage document, objects on the canvas of following pages are all pushed down an extra page - i've screen capped before/after. I tested on two other documents and one other computer and was able to reproduce the issue every time...

Reproduce issue by: Create multipage document with objects on the canvas. Insert pages using pages palette in the middle of the document; watch all your canvas content move down!

Pagina on Master page - deleted on one page
Pagina is on Master page, and deleted on one page.
In version 12.0.0.81 the pagina that is deleted still shows.
In version 12.1.0.56 the pagina is not there.
I do not know which version the designer used when creating the document, some version of 2017.

Page icons not displayed in vertical and horizontal configuration.
There seems to be a bug with the pages palette, the icons do not display correctly in vertical and horizontal configurations with some dissapearing off the side or below.

Pages invisible
Pages are not visible. This started after Mac OS upgrade to 26.3 (25D125). I have to shut down InDesign to make pages visible, then if I zoom in or oiut pages disappear.

Opens in old version after the latest automatic upgrade
When I double click on an InDesign file in a folder, why are my files trying to open in an older version of InDesign (2025), when I have the latest version installed? It wasn't happening before the latest version of InDesign 2026 was updated today, and I can't work out how to stop it happening in future, so that any file I click on opens in the latest version of InDesign, not an old one. I have specified that any *.indd file should open in the latest version, but that doesn't resolve the problem.

Automatic page number chapters don't work
I have an issue that I believe is common, and looks like a bug in InDesign. But automatic page numbering over chapters in a book doesn't work. I've tried all tips and tricks, until I found out that it is already logged by more people as a bug in the program. I just wonder if Adobe can fix this problem on short notice, as it appears to be there already for quite a while.
What appears to be the problem is that the next document page numbering just looks at the page range of the previous one, and page ranges…1 vote -
Applying Parent Pages
I would like to suggest a feature that allows parent pages to be applied to even/odd number pages or by multiples of a number, rather than manually typing which pages to apply the parents. It is time consuming to do this for PDFs with a lot of pages. For example, I proof spiral bound books and would like to show where the holes will punch, but if the book is 2-sided, I need the holes to alternate throughout the pages.

Cannot place text in columns or flow text
I try to place my manuscript from a Google doc and tried Word doc, but it does not put the text in the columns or flow it. It has created more pages but it put the text only at left pages or not at all. I DO WANT the text like in my A-master with two columns to flow in these columns. The shift-click does not work. I do not get a snake arrow... The settings for flow text is on. I have chosen primary text frames...I am a newby but I can´t get any support.

When opening a new file, I cannot enter custom width and height numbers.
I'm using Windows 11, version 25H2, and InDesign version 21.0.2.
I find it very strange and inconvenient that, while I can enter custom width and height in Adobe Illustrator (version 30.0), I can't do so in InDesign.

Section is pre-coded/hard-coded for all the pages in the document
I'm trying to modify the Section setting for pages in my document, but it looks like all the pages are already pre/hard-coded with the checkbox "Start section" On. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the box is already pre-checked, however, you don't see the Arrow mark above the page that indicates that a new section begins. This looks like not just a cosmetic problem, but also functional, because I cannot really divide the document into separate sections. As a result, just as an example, I cannot start the Footnotes from the begining for every section. The Footnotes are…
