  1. Opening file in Indesign 2023 will not show file window without resetting workspace layout

    When I initially startup my adobe indesign 2023 program and open a file from either the recent documents or drop down toolbar, the file window does not appear. It appears as if nothing has been opened. If I then select window > workspace > essentials (or any other saved workspace layout), the file window will appear.

    If I have a file already open and is visible, I can open an additional file and it appear. It is only when I do not have a visible file window that this occurs. Therefore, if I was to close this file window and…

  2. Application Window Bug

    Please fix this annoying bug, Adobe! Ever since I updated to the latest version 18.4 the application window has broken. I have uploaded a screen recording to demonstrate what is happening. I use Shift + W a LOT to view my work in presentation mode. everytime I exit this view the entire application shrinks!! And I have to keep manually resizing the application window. But it doesn't happen when I uncheck 'Application Window' from the window menu. Please fix this. I have never had this issue before.

  3. Swatches panel missing options at the bottom

    The swatches panel usually has buttons for "New swatch", "Delete Swatch" etc at the bottom. These are missing since the latest Indesign update.

  4. Links panel does not sort sublinks logically

    I have linked a file with some 120 pages to document. When I sort links panel by name, "sublinks" are sorted in mess:
    doc:1, doc:10, doc:101, doc:2, doc:21
    instead of normal number order
    doc:1, doc:2, doc:10, doc:21, doc.101.

  6. Tools are now blocking me from being able to close open documents in InDesign

    Since updating to the newest version: V 18.5 the tools bar is now blocking the name and the ability to close down the first document. For accessibility reasons, I need the toolbar to remain on the left without blocking access to the document.

  7. InDesign Tool Flyout Menu on Wrong Monitor

    I am working in InDesign 18.5.0.57 on a 2019 MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.3.1.
    I have three external monitor, two 24-in. DELL monitors, and one 25-in. ASUS monitor, configured as InDesign-Tool-Flyout-01.jpg shows.

    My problem is the InDesign tool flyout menus popup on my laptop screen rather than the center upper monitor as shown in InDesign-Tool-Flyout-02.jpg

  9. Can't save

    This is so frustrating. Why cant i save? 3rd time its happpened, try to save my file when i need to quit and come back to the file later and cant save. Force quit is the only option. Never had this problem when using InDesign Creative Suite (non-cloud version). What the ****, Adobe?

  10. Cannot adjust layout

    Cannot adjust the layout from a 6x9" doc to 5x8". Have done this successfully with over 14 indesign documents.
    Verified with both version 18.5 and 18.1

  11. A simple visual Notificacion of the depending preformatted Styles

    As I highlight a character or Paragraph style, I would like to see a bullet on the left side of each style who is based on the currently highlighted style in the Style box.
    So I would not forget to verify some consecuences of the dependent changes on each of the dependent styles.

  12. Ability to create shortcuts with double or triple letter: For ex CTRL-f f f

    It would be great to memorize shortcuts wo referrs to similar function:

    Here a simple example, just to understand:
    Ctrl -S =save, Ctrl-S-S (double click on S) =Save as, and Ctrl-S-S-S = Save for web
    or:
    Ctrl -S =save, Ctrl-S-A (Rapid click S, thanA) =Save as, and Ctrl-S-W = Save for web

  13. The shortcut for “Apply default fill and stroke color” doesn’t work as expected.

    InDesign 18.5
    MacOS 12.6.8

    To reproduce the issue:
    Change the definition of your [Basic Graphic Frame] Style (say Black Fill, No Stroke).
    Draw an object, then press the D keyboard shortcut (set to “Apply default fill and stroke color”).
    Expected result: [Basic Graphic Frame] style is applied to the object (Black Fill, No Stroke).
    Actual result: “No Fill, 1 pt Black Stroke” is applied instead. Impossible to change the definition of “Default Fill and Stroke” applied.

  15. When a comment is made in a PDF using the Insert Text tool, that comment doesn't map to ID 18.5 and previous versions.

    For the past month or so the insert text comments made in a PDF do not map to the InDesign doc. I'm getting comments from multiple users. All other mark-up is mapping as expected except insert text. I update ID every time a new version is released but this bug seems to be persistent.

  16. export, printing

    I am unable to export or print a document through InDesign 2023. I have no errors in the document, but whenever I try to export the document (which is 113 pages long and has quite a number of images throughout), it just says "Failed to Export PDF File", but gives no reason for why this happened. I do get a pop-up window before the one that says the document failed to export and the pop-up says that some links for either files or hyperlinks are not accessible.   18. When adding v-Card information for generating a business card QR code - Incorrect Title for email

    When adding v-Card information for generating a business card QR code the email line comes up as work instead of email when the QR code is scanned and a window opens up on a mobile device. The category above on the form in InDesign states that the word "email" should appear above the contacts email. This is a needed fix noticed.

  20. Bug: Print Thumbnails adds unwanted pagenumbers and numbers overlap pages

    Hi! When choosing Print & printer Adobe PDF & Thumbnails, the output file has page numbers which I do not want. There is no option to disable those.

    Also the page numbers are mislocated: they overlap the pages instead of being tidely above/under each page.
