Problem with changing the cursor to text
Hello. After running the latest version of InDesign CC 2019 v. 14.0, I have a problem with changing the cursor to text. It takes about 50 seconds. This happens each time you launch InDesign.
Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while.
This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.
Do let us know in the comments, if you face any problem with the new update.

Given the severity of the bug that makes it impossible to work, is it possible to speed up the solution by Adobe?
Thank you -

I have the same issue but the other way around. When using the shortcut 't' (so I can use the text tool) and then using the shortcut 'v' my indesign does nothing or freezes for a short time. After about 10-20 sec (or after hitting 'v' multiple times) my type tool changes back to my regular selection tool.

Further to this issue, InDesign freezes when the Text Tool is selected and until minutes or so have passed.
Thanks, Rosanna -

Hi, I can't share the documents as the document isn't the problem. This happens every time I open the new version of InDesign. I can't immediately use the text tool on any document. After waiting 2 minutes I can then use the text tool. I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. The InDesign document is irrelevant in this issue. If you have a solution please let me know. Thanks and kind regards, Rosanna

Hi,
I have the same problem on Win10. It occurs after first use of font tool/panel during Id session. After that it seems to work but font menu is still very laggy. When I restart Id the problem occurs again.
Tried to uninstall almost all local fonts with no luck. -

I've had the same thing on windows 10 - but mine freezes completely and stops responding. I've reverted to previous version. Tried deactivating Typekit - did not help.
