Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while.
This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.

This happens every time I open the new version of InDesign. I can't immediately use the text tool on any document. After waiting 2 minutes I can then use the text tool. I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. The InDesign document is irrelevant in this issue. If you have a solution please let me know. Thanks and kind regards, Rosanna
Hi, I uploaded the latest fix-up version 14.01 and now when I work on an indesign document after a while I can't get any response from the editing tools. e.g. I select a text box and try to add effects and then it either doesn't take effect or I preview and cancel (if I don't like the effect) but when I select again the effect is still there. This is causing a lot of time wastage with my designs and deadlines. I had to go back to 2018 version to to able to edit correctly. I think it was OK after the first fix-up but not the second. Not sure what to do now. Thanks, Rosanna
