   Same here with macOS 26.2 and InDesign 21.1 – worked with macOS 15.7.2. No Links missing.
   Permissions have ben checked (they were okay), but also deleted and reset again.
   I can open, place and use everything from the NAS, just as packaging starts, Indesign does not want to.

   I just wanted to add something to that great idea:
   we have files, where there are a lot uf subfolders with files, where not only the names of the files change over time (month/year in the filename) but also the folder names. It would be great if the "search for missing links in this folder" checkbox would get an addition to be able to search in this folder AND ALL SUBFOLDERS for missing links. that would delete about 60% of the time I work in indesign with something that computers can and could do.

   The issue has been fixed in the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021. The fix was also available in the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (v 15.1.2).
   Please update to these newer versions of InDesign to get the fix.

   Since InSite is widely used in the business, this would be a benefit to a lot of users—like us.
   It could be an option, since oftentimes we need the suffix as well.

10. When exporting PDF/X1-a:2003, Indesign creates a PDF 1.3 instead of PDF 1.4. Why?
