Scroll bar disappears in Pages panel, swatches panel,Layers panel and background task panel loses its boxes on the right.
2017.1 Release, 12.1.0.56 x64 build
The pages panel loses its scroll bar and doesn't display all pages. Panel needs to be opened wide to display anything. This cuts off easy access to document's later pages.
Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while. The fix of the issue is now part of InDesign’s latest update, Id 13.1
Update your InDesign through Creative Cloud app to Id 13.1
Thanks,

help! I often have the same problem in my indesign CC2018 on my MAC (OS.10.11.4). I can't find the indesign preferences and saved data. on several forums I read that I have to search in the Library > CACHES-folder, but there only something about apple in general... not the indesign preferences...
VERY VERY annoying........
please, solve this problem. -

Me and my colleagues work a lot with books with many pages and it´s a big problem when you can´t see all of them in the pages window and the scroll bar has disappeared! We can´t scroll down to see the pages that don´t fit in the window.
The style pages are not visible at all, only their names in text.
The scroll bar has disappeared in the paragraph style window. We have a lot of paragraph styles for different puposes in our books and need to be able to scroll to see and shose from all of them.

I've had the same issue as well. I'm on a Lenovo laptop

This is a serious issue. Also, the master slides do not show a preview leading to a serious usability issue because you can't apply different margins on facing pages. Add doc'd monitor(s) to the mix and it's an absolute nightmare. Thinking about a different computer altogether.

Same problem here with Windows 10 on Dell XPS 15 with 4K. Indesign page panel has no scroll bar and does not show masterpages as icons. Also layers panel has no dots so it has become more difficult to transfer objects between layers.
Ctrl-Alt-Shift does not help. Only reinstalling fixes the problem temporary. After using indesign a few times the problem reapears. -

I am using the latest CC 13.0 - Surface with two external displays.
200% scaling. 2736x1824 resolution on my surface
100% scaling 1920x1080 on my other two monitors
all three used at the same time via the external docking hub for surface from Microsoft.Everything was fine the first few times I opened InDesign, now it's back to this issue which i also had in the last version of Indesign.
None of my panels scroll by touch, arrow or mouse and any panel with a bottom bar (Styles as opposed to Align) oversets the bottom bar on what should be scrolling.
It seems to be a permanent issue. tested the following with no change:
- just using the surface
- plugging in the monitors then turning on the computer
- turning on the computer then plugging in the monitorsThe "Pages" Panel is pretty much unusable. The images above say it all.

Unfortunately, I have to correct myself: in previous post I wrote "very often" and instead now became "ALWAYS" at every start of the application... No words!
Thanks a lot: great job and no response at the moment.
PLEASE SOLVE THE PROBLEM!
