    I spent quite a day with adobe customer care in invstigating this issue, unfortunately without any result!
    I hope they will keep on investigating and let me know something because is very difficult to work in this situation!

    We try everything: test old version of ID, make others account of iMac, disabling extension but everytime the issue is still here: Zoom features on Wacom tablet works only for some seconds and then stop working, untill I restart the app.
    I'm waiting for a solution!

    Is there anybody here from adobe to solve bugs or not?

    Are there any suggestion from adobe for this issue that is still with us, every day, from a long time?
    Can someone in adobe try to investigate and solve this issue?

    It happens for me too just in the latest version, with other bugs… Every new version of InDesign is worse than the previous…
    Is there anyone from adobe to solve those bugs?

    As part of the investigation into the cause of this issue, we personally reached out to many of you over email. We have so far heard from only some of you.

    Of the responses we have received, the conclusion we’ve come to is:
    This issue was intermittent, happened once during the course of work but somehow got resolved and has not happened again. This issue can’t be reproduced now.

    Over a period of time, this thread has not thrown any fresh clues on why this issue seems to occur randomly for some and then seems to resolve itself. So we’re closing this thread.

    However, even though we’re closing this thread, if you again run into this issue any time on a consistent basis, please report it here on UserVoice (in a new thread) with supporting assets like:
    A) a test file,
    B) detailed steps to replicate the issue
    C) any…

    Hi
    sometimes it happens the same thing for me too… and the problem is a long time issue because it happenes from more than two years… NEVER SOLVED!
    Every time I'm using ID I'm really afraid that something could go wrong… terrible.

    When happens this issue is also together another problem:
    Zoom in and Zoom out functions (via touch features on wacom tablet) don't work anymore…

    It's no possibile to work in such situation… Please solve!
    Other apps are working much better than ID

    Thank you for your patience all this while. The fix of the issue is now part of InDesign’s latest update, Id 13.1

    Update your InDesign through Creative Cloud app to Id 13.1

    Unfortunately, I have to correct myself: in previous post I wrote "very often" and instead now became "ALWAYS" at every start of the application... No words!
    Thanks a lot: great job and no response at the moment.

    One more issue that often comes back, beyond disappearing small dots in layer panel: when preferences are corrupted some functions like "Undo" / "Redo" / "Save" / "Save as" don't work and so InDesign doesn't save files any more. The only way to recover the work you're working on, is to export the file in .idml extension, quit the app, restart, open .idml file and save to another .indd file: TERRIBLE!
    Ok for having new features every six months, but first you should solve these OLD problems: they are still the same from CC 2015!

    InDesign's preferences are corrupting continuously. Very often, when I launch the application, the layer panel loses the small dot that enables dragging elements between layers, and so each time I have to delete preferences and then restore them and configure from the beginning. The problem still happen from ID CC 2015 and now we are at CC 2018!
    PLEASE SOLVE THE PROBLEM: I pay every year and I want a running version.

    I still have the same problem, always from ID CC 2015, and it's really very boring every time to delete InDesign Preferences and then restoring them from Preference Panel. Please solve the problem!!!
