windows are bigger in 17.2. resizing documents behaving badly!
please fix this problem.
I've just installed 17.2. All my windows and pallets are suddenly bigger and when I want to grab a document in the bottom right corner to resize, the document becomes even bigger at first!is there a way to go back to my previous version? PLEASE?

tracking
Having lots of issues since the latest update (17.2) with the character box.
When I highlight my text it won't allow me to click the dropdown to change the font or the tracking.
If I click on the 'tracking' field, I can type the number in manually but I can't see it. I also cannot click the up and down buttons to change it that way.

Can't open a new or old file in InDesign.

Sélection multiple
La possibilité de faire des sélections multiples dans un même bloc de texte serait une bonne idée. Comme le fait si bien VSCode avec le bouton alt+click gauche. Une autre chose la prise en compte de shift et du pavet numérique pour aller en début ou en fin de ligne Shift + 1 = fin de ligne et Shift + 7 pour le début de ligne.

Can't do long math in some Opacity text fields
This is a very minor bug I ran into. In certain text fields that set an object's Opacity value, the character limit is 5 characters, which is not enough to do certain mathematical operations, like 12.5/2. If the value is a decimal number with two places, no math can be performed at all.
The 5 character limit applies to the control that appears in the Control panel when selecting an object, and the control that appears in the Effects panel when selecting an object.

Pages window isn't showing pages
v 17.2
With the new update, the Pages window/panel is not showing the pages in document. The panel is locked to the side in my workspace. When InDesign is opened the panel needs to be unlocked from side and click on Pages tab to have pages show below. Re-lock the panel and click on Pages tab to show document pages. Please fix. - (1) go to Chinese Typography Set（中文排版集）basic (2)set Chinese paragraph first indent（中文段首缩进） as "2 words" (3)give any paragraph with previous setting (4)apply underline or highlight to the paragraph
- paragraph indent should not have any underline or highlight
- paragraph indent have 2 space characters have underline or highlight

InDesign library with images linked to server disappears on placement
An InDesign library with entries that contain images LINKED TO A SERVER will not drag-and-drop to the InDesign page. The library entry disappears upon releasing the mouse button and a Mac system alert sounds. Repeatable in CC2020, CC2021, and CC2022 in Big Sur and Monterey. This doesn't happen in OS Catalina.
Using SMB protocol to connect to image server.
Repro Steps:
1) Put images on a server. Use different image formats (.ai, .eps, .jpg, etc.)
2) Link those images from the server to image boxes in InDesign.
3) Add those images boxes to an InDesign library.

Important message about pasting text with endnotes appears at wrong time
Pasting text with endnote(s) does not show a message. You instead get that message the NEXT time you paste an object, even if that object is not a text box containing endnote(s).
There is also a grammar error in the message, where the word "and" should be ", which" — and there is no period at the end of the sentence.
This has been in many versions of InDesign. I am using 17.1 now.
Reproduce:
- Copy text with endnote(s) to the clipboard
- Paste text into a new thread

when creating an Object Style from a sheared text box, this shear is not applied when the Object Style is applied to a new textbox.

picture skin tones colour change to red when I import JPEGs
Since I updated to ID 17.1, some colours in pictures – especially skin tones of blonde people – turn reddish, when I import them as JPEGs. Please find below an example of the same picture, saved as JPEG and as TIF (in PSD the colours are identical).

wrap shape
Every time I use "wrap around object shape" -- and it's a box or shape I've created within InDesign -- it crashed InDesign. Thankfully, it recovers well. If it's on an imported shape or something I actually draw with the pen too, it works as it should. But the crashing when it's a rounded rectangle is frustrating. I have to remember NOT to use it or do the keep aways differently.

Crash: Dynamic spelling with special word
There is a crazy bug: when the dynamic spellcheck is active (German, Duden) and you are typing in a text frame hintereinanderherschlichen (it’s a German word) indesign crashed immediately.
We don’t know why, but then, after the crash, and when the dynamic spell check is still active, InDesign crashes again when it tries to recover the document.
Systems: Apple OS Montery, InDesign 2022 German

New Animate palette bug
In InDesign 17.1.0.50 OSX, the Animate palette is smaller than its tools !
In my screen capture, you can see 3 right points (transformation center points) that are so on the left that I cannot click on them.
Even if I enlarge the palette, the 3 right points are still unusable, and it is the same when I I save the workspace and restart InDesignThank you for reading

My InDesign crashes when I use the quick apply shortcut (command enter).
I use InDesign 17.1 2022 on M1 MacBook with macOS Monterey (all updated).
Any document I'm working with, when I hit cmd+enter for quick apply, InDesign crashes. I've been sending crash reports but haven't got any feedback yet.
it doesn't happen all the time but almost daily it crashes a few times like this.1 vote
