  1. idml file with frontend xml crashes with lower version indesign

    when ever we try to make idml files with frontend xml, which required to open lower version of indesign file, it get crashes. Now i got in a conclusion idml files with frontend xml does not work... can you fix.

  2. Videos and buttons get cut in half when placed over a 2 page spread in Publish online and Fixed layout EPUB

    When a video or button is placed across two pages on a spread, both gets cut in half, working separately on different pages. So, if video is played in Publish Online document or Fixed Layout EPUB, only half part is played.
    Similarly with buttons, only half button gets clicked.

  3. Dictionary Hyphenation in Uppercase ignored (German)

    Custom hyphenation settings are ignored for uppercase words in user dictionary (at least in german).

    Example:
    dictionary entry: "kro~~~nach" (select field "case-sensitive" not set)

    Expected behaviour:

    Lorem ipsum Kro-
    nach dolor sit amet kro-
    nach

    Actual behaviour:

    Lorem ipsum Kron-
    ach dolor sit amet kro-
    nach

    Workaround:

    Enabling "Case-sensitive" and adding lowercase and uppercase version leads to correct hyphenation.

  4. Inconsistent Text Wrap across two column layout

    Text wrap is applied inconsistently from column to column, i.e. text will offset by uneven amounts in adjacent columns. This happens for all types of Text Wrap except for the Jump Wrap, which does not misalign the top two lines of text!
    The only fix I could manage was to Force All Lines to the Baseline Grid, and redraw the bottom Text Wrap line unevenly for the two columns. The images attached show first the problem and second the fix.
    I believe this started happening with the introduction of CC versions, but I'm not 100% sure of that timing.

  5. [ID-4219708]export book to pdf slows the mouse respond

    Every time, when I export whole book into PDF file, my mouse starts to move with steps. Everything else is working more or less normally, but moving cursor is almost impossible.

    Cursors respond with huge lag - around 1 sec, and moves in steps, what makes impossible to use the mouse.

  6. Open Recent numbering goes from 1 to 9, then 0 and then repeats 1 to 9, 0.

    When selecting File > Open Recent, and there are more than 9 items (I have it set to 20), the items are listed numerically from 1 to 9 and then 0. Then it repeats 1-9, 0. One would expect 1-9, 10, 11, 12, 13, etc.

    Obviously not a showstopper, but just something to fix.

  7. InDesign 2018 crashing when I go to linked endnote text

    I'm working with linked endnotes in InDesign 2018 (version 13.1), but my file originated in InDesign 2015 (I skipped 2017). I have already saved the document as an InDesign 2018 file but seem to be having problems importing a document with linked endnotes.

    I'm starting with an old InDesign file because I'm working on volume 2 of a multi-book series and want to maintain all my old styles.   8. BUG: Changes aren't tracked for bottom-right table cell

    The last cell in a table is a “dead” cell as far as Track Changes is concerned. If you copy cells from another row and paste them in the last table row, if the selection you are pasting into contains the last cell in the table, the pasted text will not be marked as a change. Likewise, inserting a new row in a table as the last row via drag and drop isn’t marked as an insertion at all.   9. [ID-4209061][Document Specific] InDesign crashes while opening idml exported from .indd file

    Method:
    - Open the attached "2017-05-16CapoSlowFlowengl.indd" document
    - Export the indd document to idml
    - Open the exported idml

    Result: InDesign crashes on opening idml

    Expected: InDesign should not crash on opening idml

  10. [ID-4206993] InDesign crashes when exporting to PDF, but not to JPEG

    I'm using InDesign 13.1 for a simple 12 page booklet (see attached)

    First issue: ID was doing background work on a file for about 4 days and then ID crashed. Now whenever I open the program it asks me if I want to do "Automatic Recovery" for the file. If I click YES or CANCEL the program crashes. If I click NO the program stays open and I can continue to work. But if I go to export the 12 page booklet to PDF it crashes.

  12. Bug in Paragraph Shading in Multicolumn text

    When you apply a large Paragraph Shading to the left or right on multicolumn text, the Shading overlaps the text. (Also obscuring text!)

  14. Bug copy and paste complex XML Element CC2018.1

    Only on CC2018.1

    The problem is highlighted by copying a complex XML TAG containing a nested structure of XML from one document to another.
    Only SOME TAG are pasted, not all and the parent TAG is missing.

    Steps to reproduce the issues:
    1. Create a new document.
    2. Select File > Place, check Show Import Options, select attached Columns_26.xlsx file.
    3. Note nonstandard default Cell Range: A1:A@10 (should be A1:Z10).
    4. Enter custom (valid) Cell Range "A1:E5"

    Expected result:
    No error and a table containing cells A1 through E5.

    Actual result:
    Error message, "You have not entered a valid 'Cell Range'. (See attached screenshot.)

  17. Cursor size in working area is huge InDesign CC 2018 Win

    The ID cursor (black) when over the workspace is huge. It is normal size when hovering over the tool bars (white), but when you move over the workspace it is supersized. This occurs when working on an external monitor, but is scaled appropriately on HD Laptop Screen.

  18. [ID-4219717]Colors are displayed differently between pages

    InDesign 13.0.1 on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) OS 10.13.3

    Open a CMYK document. Place an sRGB file on page 1. Place the same (or copy) on page 2.

    Expected: the colors on both pages look the same.

    Actual result: With color-proof switched off, the colors on page 1 show as if color-proof turned on while on page 2 the colors show correctly. See screenshots with the same files on 2 pages. I changed nothing I just moved the picture from one page to the other.
    With color-proof turned on all pages look like page 1.

  19. Master page «Based on» does not work properly when objects are bleeding.

  20. [ID-4261148] Character style "Include Html Class" check box removes the whole tag

    The "Include Classes in HTML" checkbox doesn't work for Character Styles. Whereas paragraph styles and object style export without the class, character styles actually export without the tag at all—losing any formatting for that style. This is the case both in HTML and EPUB export.
