Can't click through InDesign to desktop or other app + InDesign list panels tilt
When I click on panel boxes to adjust values like font size, transparency, color tone etc, InDesign list panels (swatches, fonts etc) tilt and list elements slip away from mouse selection like they were magnetic.
Can't exit from InDesign window (mouse click to desktop or other apps doesn't work). Functionality can be restored only by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Canc and then Esc.InDesign version: 16.4.2 (and earlier versions)

Page display distortion – psychedelic patterns
Page distortion when editing or resizing. Usual clears when changing pages or screen magnification. Becoming more frequent with version 17.3, using macOS 12.4.

missing menu
Having some issues with my menus in Indesign 17.3 / MacOS 12.5.1
A few of them have been showing up blank and I haven't been able to find a fix, and working off the top menu bar in the meantime is very tedious. Any suggestions welcome.1 vote -
large file freezes indesign 2022
newly installed indesign 2022, while opening a small file opens correctly, but while trying to open a large file freezes with no response. happened on to laptops, works great on a stationary. HELP

InDesign steals focus in Windows 10 - again (2022)
If you switch to another application, while InDesign is launching, InDesign will steal the focus back, even repeatedly if you are quick enough to switch to the other application more than once, and/or have a slow computer (e.g. battery saver mode while opening a large document may exaggerate the problem).
I'm fairly certain that this irritating behaviour was gone from late 2017, since the earlier bug report (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/31913773-indesign-steals-focus-in-windows-10) was closed after lack of activity (3 years old) in 2021, and the old thread on the forum https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/how-to-prevent-adobe-software-stealing-focus-in-windows-10-locked/td-p/7773884/page/5 was active until late 2017. Windows are blank in Indesign
I'm having a problem with inDesign 17.4. My windows appear black. The only way to fix this problem is to trash my preferences daily. Can you help me fix this bug thank you

High CPU use with version 17.1
This has already been posted for 17.0 by another user. I installed 17.1 yesterday, because I needed to open a specific file and compared to the 14.0.3 which I use all the time, the 17.1 uses 1/4 of CPU power after start while no document is opened and it actually does nothing. This remains for several minutes, then goes down to 0. The attached picture shows that both versions are running (no files open).

Actual Size is not Actual Size
I was trying to view art at "Actual Size" under "View" and using the shortcut. The art is 9" and it is showing 11.0625" instead in InDesign 2022 (v17.2). I would really appreciate this being fixed as soon as possible. Or a solution as to why this is happening to be forthcoming. Thanks!

Rulers exceeding text boundaries, only paragraph shading or offsets seem to be able to limit them
The issue is described in this thread (sample .INDD file link included in the thread to reproduce the issue):
The excess rulers that go beyond the text boundary can only be removed (or masked, not sure which is actually happening) with paragraph shading.
As a rule, rulers should not go beyond the text boundary, and they should adapt to the text boundary (if font size have been changed, or if other changes have been made that affect the layout).
But the green arrows show that in some cases the boundary is correct.
It shouldn't be necessary to add both…

17.4 x64 Popup Survey Spam

.TTF and .OTF font display/loading BUG InDesign 17.2
Fonts that used to load fine in InDesign appear missing even though they are installed and work in other apps like Illustrator or even Word.
Specifically this is occurring with a font that has unique glyphs: Noto Sans - Canadian Aboriginal Regular.TTF this has also been tested with a conversion to .OTF with the same result and this error has been confirmed across multiple devices.

17.4 hangs opening files
Updated to 17.4 to benefit from purported improvement on ID hang on files with missing fonts. Now opening any file causes a hang.

Preview glitches.
ID 17.2.1
Zooming in/out in a document sometimes displays glitches/artifacts that block the view of the actual design.
Moving the window or dragging the document around the pasteboard fixes the issue; still, it's annoying because it blocks one from working properly.1 vote -

leider habe ich im Indesign CC, aktuelle Version auf Win10 - 64 Bit, immer wieder das Problem dass Indesign beim Neustart bzw. Start einer bestehenden Indesign-Datei keinen Arbeitsbereich lädt.
Wie kann eine Einstellung treffen dass der Arbeitsbereich (z.B. Erweitert) automatisch mit jedem Start von Indesign oder Öffnen einer bestehenden Indesign Datei geladen wird.2 votes -
InDesign Window Moves Slightly Offscreen (So I Can't Adjust Window Size) When Plugged Into External QHD Display
I'm using a 14" M1 Pro Macbook Pro, and when plugging into an external display (QHD), Indesign's top window moves slightly offscreen (see attached picture). Goes away when I unplug the display, but quite annoying to have to remember to resize the window before plugging it into a display since I can't resize the window another way without that top bar accessible.

Crash after sleep mode external drive OS X - lost network vonnection (Indesign only!)
After getting awake from sleep mode Indesign will constantly (and only Indesign!) crash because of a lost network connection!

Space Bar Shortcut for Hand Tool frequently stops working (MacOS)
About once a week I find that the hand tool shortcut stops working.
Restarting InDesign doesn't resolve the issue, however restarting the computer does.Space bar continues to work in all other capacities (including as a spacebar, as I'm experiencing the bug right now and yet still able to add spaces into this text box)

Graphics Card not being used on macOS.
I am using a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB, however the GPU is never being used (according to activity monitor).
Within Indesign, the GPU is detected, and the GPU-Performance is enabled.The performance is really bad and many times the CPU maxes out at 100%, which makes sense because the dedicated GPU is never utilised.
But why? Shouldn't this work?

Zoom Scaling when editing Review Comments
When trying to edit text that has review comment text attached to it, InDesign will not stay zoomed in, and will automatically revert to 100% scale.
