keyboard shortcut "duplicate" not working3 votes
My Indesign cursor flickers and is jittery when I have Photoshop running in the background. I'm running Catalina 10.15.4 on a 27" iMac Retina 5K. Never experienced this problem before this week.3 votes
Issue with the workspace not loading or not showing at startup. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Today i tried opening photoshop first and then after that indesign opened correctly. Adobe claimed to have this issue resolved by version 14.0.3. That means either it has never been resolved or it returned in this version.3 votes
InD 2020 (v. 15.0.2) on macOS 10.14.6 (18G3020) resets the workspace to default every time I create a new document while having no other documents opened.3 votes
Those were so handy, why have they been removed? There is plenty of space on the title bar.3 votes
Delete the new "home button" (located next to the "file" button) in Indesign, or turn it into an optional feature.3 votes
I don't like the fact that the, what looks like a "welcome screen" always pops up after closing InDesign work page. I was told it it's a UI of the application.
Please find a way for us to turn that off. I find it annoying and not helpful during my work day.3 votes
When using the "Edit Page Size" button/drop down on the Pages panel, the list of page sizes has begin showing duplicate entries, and I'm not sure why. It seems to have started out of nowhere.
To select an item in the list, you can see in the screenshot that each entry is doubled, and sometimes the "top" item is the correct one to click, other times it is the "bottom" item. In each pairing, one of them does nothing when selected.
I've attached an image to show what I mean.3 votes
The UI for the styles palette truncates the names of the styles to an unusable length if a keyboard shortcut is assigned (even when no truncating is needed).
In the attached image, we see that there's a lot of space to the right.
The keyboard shortcuts could also be shortened using the relevant symbols instead of words. eg
"Opt+Shift+Num 1"3 votes
Renaming elements that have been stored in the Creative Cloud Libraries panel is unstable and can use improvements.
• There is no clear cursor to know where you are in the name.
• Double clicking to highlight a word, once in the rename mode, common practice everywhere else, ends up opening the library item, not selecting the word you intended.
• Doing a slow double click on the name, like you can do in the Layers panel to rename a layer doesn't work either.3 votes
The New Features popup dialog boxes are ******* annoying as **** and cannot be turned off. They can in photoshop with the "enable rich *****" but cannot in InDesign. Can you fix this **** pain *******? No one wants this *.3 votes
Hi there – it seems that the CC 2019 (v. 14) can't Hyphenate. I use – without luck – the checkbox in the Control Panel. Have I missed a secret Button?

My workflow makes use of macOS workspaces, but this requires my applications to support Full Screen mode in macOS. Adobe CC apps do not and I'm fairly sure this is intentional, but it doesn't align with the way many users work.
Please add macOS Full Screen/Workspaces functionality in future updates of InDesign and other CC applications. Thanks!3 votes
- InDesign 13.1 x64, WIndows 10
- Select an image on the page, and it is highlighted in the links panel. Press "Relink...". Press "Cancel".
- The link should be highlighted in the links palette so I could press "Relink..." again immediately
- The frame is still selected but the image is no longer highlighted in the Links panel. You have to deselect the frame and re-select it (or manually click the link in the panel) to highlight it again.
After the latest update of InDesign CC 2018 to v. 126.96.36.199 the align window is empty (see my screenshot). I work on a Mac with El Capitan.3 votes
Hi, I'm using InDesign v 13.1 x64 (up to date) on my laptop (Windows 10).
On Photoshop and Illustrator, I've no issue with shortkeys but on InDesign, I can't do "CTRL+0" for example. When I try to edit shortkeys, the software doesn't recognize my input, as if I wasn't pressing "0".
Thanks for fixing it. :)3 votes
In InDesign, the numeric keypad is only meant to assign shortcuts to Styles – Paragraph, Character, Object, Table.
For assigning shortcuts to other Application’s commands, you’ll have to use the other shortcuts – for e.g., to use Cmd+1 to bring image to 100%, you will have to press Cmd and the ‘1’ key that is above the letter keys (on English keyboard, 1 is above letter Q).
Hope it helps to clarify how shortcuts work in InDesign.

In their default states, the Hand Tool and Help menu options are bound to H and F1 respectively, but pressing H during normal use of the program consistently uses Help instead of the Hand tool.
Removing the F1 shortcut from the Help menu fixes this issue. I've experienced it in other areas, and I assume this solution will work for those as well.3 votes
.Indd files look like their opening, but they and the controls are not displaying in Indd. Just missing.
.Indd files look like their opening, the application seems to think it's open, but they and the controls are not displaying in Indd. It's just missing. It happens with any Indd file. No error. It just wont' open, but you can see the temporary file in the folder showing it's open, and it asks me if I want to save it when I go to quit. I just reinitialized my computer last weekend and reinstalled CC.3 votes
Sometimes, when switching applications then back to InDesign, some of the panels are turned off. One that's particularly annoying is the Swatches panel. It doesn't always do it but when it does it's really annoying having to open it back up again.
Resetting InDesign preferences doesn't fix it.
This only seems to affect one Mac that's running El Capitan. We have others that are also on the same version of OS and same version of InDesign that don't do this.3 votes
