1. Color printing in black and white

   Files are printing in black & white when printing directly from InDesign. They print properly in color when I save a PDF and print from Acro

2. Bug Copy&past onto Indesign CC 2019

   The copy-paste function from another software (Adobe acrobat, word, pages, etc.) to Indesign CC 2019 14.0.1 does not work under mac os 10.12.6. This works very well on the Indesign cc 2018 version. I restart the application with CMD + ALT + CTRL + shift to restore the preferences, but the bug persists. Can you help me ?. 3. ALT key results in stall

   Pressing the ALT key - be that for zooming out, using a fitting option, or any other shortcut, slows indesign to the point of non-performance, sometimes for 20 seconds or more. Happens primarily when I'm in a document with more pages/items. Have uninstalled all adobe programs and reinstalled, hasn't fixed.

4. Paste in place behaves erratically for Word document import

   I have a layout created from Placing a Word document with some vector graphics frames (originally pasted from Excel as a WMF) and text/table frames. These graphics need to be replaced with updated versions each month.

   If I Place a new Word file into a temporary document then try to copy and paste new graphics one-by-one into the older version of the document, it looks like the graphics are updated if I stay on "medium quality" display setting. However if I change to "high quality", the graphics revert to previous versions.
   Export to PDF and Print will also produce the old versions of the graphics regardless of the display settings.

5. welcome screen won't load

   Welcome screen won't load. It just seems to hang up and I never see my recent files. I can still use InDesign as usual, but this new bug is frustrating.

7. url's not active when publish online feature used

   indesign 14.0.1
   MacOS 10.14.4

   I'm having a problem with the publish online feature. I have a 94 page directory that I published online back in January, which worked perfectly, all url's active and clickable. Today I have updated the print version of the job and created the new interactive version ready to publish online. However, when I 'Publish Online' from indesign and view the document, non of the url's appear to be active and clickable. I have tried creating a new document with just a single url for testing purposes and that doesn't work either. - the problem seems to be present in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

   If I go back to the original indesign document that I published online back in January and republish it, it all works fine.

8. scrubby zoom will not turn off

   Scrubby/Animated zoom suddenly appeared when I opened Indesign today and I cannot not turn off. The option is no longer in the Preferences (I searched all categories). I have installed no updates recently.

9. Slow start opening files or switching between apps

   The last Indesign version 14.0.1. on my iMacPro 3,2 GHz Intel Xeon W (Radeon Pro Vega 56) running Mojave (10.14.3) shows the rainbow wheel on every startup and on every time switching apps (via command + tab) takes about 30 seconds - impossible to work!

   To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

   We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

   We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

   If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

10. pdf

    Since the last update Indesign export to pdf in all resolutions don't compact the files down. They are huge. Everything up to the last update pdfs even if high resolution would size way down. Now it is almost like it doesn't do anything. Need this fixed. It is almost like the coders for Illustrator went over to Indesign to put in their bad pdf export routine. Illustrator has never compacted pdfs well ever!. I demand that the pdf export get fixed pronto and put back the way it was. Sending pdfs by email is now useless. I shouldn't have to put up two page documents into dropbox because I can't email them. The last file I compacted was a two page document with one two pictures and it made the file even with medium resolution size 25mb, and smallest file size 8mb. This file before the last update would have been 800kb. I don't know why you keep mucking about with things that work and introduce things that don't.

11. Properties panel - linked panels opening across extended windows

    Win 10 / InDesign cc2019

    I have an issue where the underlined panel options don't respect the boundaries of my extended screen configuration causing the popped out palette to split across windows.

    In illustrator these linked palettes always appear within the confines of a maximised application window's boundary.

    P.S. I hope it is your intention to continue to develop the properties panel so that more of the options appear naturally within its space. Similar to the way the Transform, Character, Paragraph and Align sections do via the 'more options' ellipses.

    I've pointed out your approach on the Illustrator forum in the hope that they follow your methodology in the future.

12. When attempting to 'crop' the INDD window size from bottom rt-corner, the the document's image

    When attempting to taper the (Mac) INDD window's size from bottom rt-corner, the document layout ALWAYS "runs away" from the user (to the upper left direction)… making it impossible to get the doc's layout centred within the window, first time. This is UNLIKE any other Mac application… and is a source of constant frustration!

15. InDesign 2019 keeps crashing when I change the document size in the properties panel.

    Every time I want to change the document/page size in the properties panel so I can have different page sizes in the document InDesign crashes. Over and over.

16. Bug: Mac AppleScript change text returns replacement except last character

    Search ("find what") and replace ("change to") does not return the expected results when replacing text. It truncates the replacement by one character.

    Steps to reproduce
    1. Create a new InDesign file (see attached test.indd)
    2. Create a text box
    3. Add text in the text box including the word "test"
    4. Run the following script (see attached) test.scpt
    5. Expected the return results to be "foo" but it returns "fo"

17. Changing the cursor to text AND changes it self to cursor

    Always when i'm going change to text but it changes it self back to cursor. really annoying bug. everytime when i do this.

18. fi creates embedded subset

    When I use the two letters "fi" in that order, when I export PDF, I get embedded subsets. This is on multiple fonts.
    if I switch the case of f"I" to fI upper case (EYE), then the embedded subset issue goes away. (the case of the first letter "f" does not matter.

19. No Break slows down InDesign CC 2019

    When No Break is added to multiple words, it slows down InDesign CC 2019 14.01 tremendously.
    We use No Break very often in our texts, e.g. to keep web site addresses, email addresses and allergens together as this is a requirement from our customer.
    This was never a problem in older versions but something seems to be changed in InDesign.
    I added an .idml file containing an auto-size text frame with some text (allergens). Editing the text frame in an older version of InDesign works smoothly. Doing the same thing in CC 2019 goes very slow.

20. variable barcodes not centered in frame and not always appearing in print files

    Recently upgraded to InDesign CC 14.0.1 x64, HP SmartStream Designer 14.0.6, and Tech It Barcode Studio 15.11.1.23277.

    Existing variable barcodes in InDesign documents are now not centered left to right in their frame.

    Sometimes they are not appearing in the JLT print files created using SSD. They do appear in PDF print files created in SSD.
