Add comments from InDesign to reviewer using Share for Review
It seems like owners of documents can only reply to existing comments made in the Share for Review document but can't create comments in InDesign that appear in the Share for Review document. Often, we have a question about text or images that the reviewer needs to answer, but we have to first Share for Review and then create the comment there. It would be great if we could convert InDesign Notes to comments for the reviewer that they can see in the Share for Review side panel.

Lock/Unlock all objects in an entire document
Currently we can lock/unlock an object or all objects on a spread. But what about getting the same features for an entire document so that you don't need to manually do this for every spread?

Add track changes also to foot notes
If you use track changes its a problem that texts in foot notes aren't tracked.
Some type of documents (like financial documents) need trail of changes. Its even a legal request in some cases. So if you depend on the track changes function its a big problem that foot notes aren't tracked. Used to be the same with tables long time ago but that one is now tracked since many versions back...Seems like other also asked about this.

Ability to pass ownership of Share For Review to another user, or indeed share ownership
It would be really beneficial to be able to move ownership of a Share For Review to another user or indeed be able to have a buddy be the owner as often we move our documents around our workforce.

Icon Localization for Asian Users
I am a Korean user.
The menu and description is well displayed in Korean.
But why does the Japanese Hiragana 'あ' appear on the letter ratio icon and the lettering icon?
Does Chinese users see that icon too?It seems that CJK version is using icons together while localizing.
If Adobe respects each country's culture, I would like to change that icon to suit each country.
(ex: '가' for Korean users)
If that's difficult, I'd like to mark it with the alphabet 'A'.https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/icon-localization-for-asian-users/m-p/11654932?

Automatic version control for Share for Review
Would it be possible for InDesign to apply version control (like GitHub) to Share for Review? What if, for example, designers could choose a versioning standard in the preferences panel (e.g. 1.0.1 vs 2020.v1.1) which is then activated when you Share for Review and updated every time the link is updated?

Store GREP strings in Library
I often have to use the same long GREP strings in multiple documents and for multiple projects (eg. custom targeting of words and/or characters at the end of a paragraph to avoid orphans). Depending on the context, it can get complicated. I currently have a spreadsheet so I don't have to reformulate every time I need one, but I would like to store them as easily as character or paragraph styles so I can reference them again and again.

Add real Next Page Number / Previous Page Number
At present, Next Page Number and Previous Page Number actually means Next Text Frame Page Number / Previous Text Frame Page Number. It is very confusing. I suggest to add real Next Page Number / Previous Page Number which would add – surprise! – next page number and previous page number to the text.
It would be very helpful, in situations you want to have page numbers only at one page of a spread (10/11, 12–13 etc). At the moment, there is only a stupid and slow workaround with linked text frames, which does not work in every situations.9 votes -
pdf comments
Allow assign shortcuts for working with pdf-comments
Working with corrections via imported pdf-comments could be sped up very much if there would be the possibility to assign following shortcuts:
- copy comment to clipboard
- mark comment as applied (or what it is in english)
- go to next / previous comment

Automatic footnote numbering in a book
Dear Sir, dear Madam,
Please make the numbering of footnotes automatic from chapter to chapter in a book, as for the chapter's first page.
It is very tedious and risky to do it manually, which seems the only option today, even in the last release (16.0).
Thank you.

Share for review
Add Share for Review function for ID Book files.
Would like the ability to export Share for Review through an ID Book file for large file magazines and team edits.9 votes -
Multi Level Running Headers with Numbering
Add the ability to have multiple running headers. Specifically for multi-level lists that include numbering. Currently you can only select one paragraph style and it doesn't include numbering. It would be great to be able to create breadcrumbs for multi-level lists so you can show which section and subsection you're in INCLUDING NUMBERING. Currently the running header drops the numbering which is annoying.

Remove color group folder when all swatches in it are selected by "Select all unused"
If all swatches are selected in a group folder by using the "Select all unused" option, also remove the group folder. This will make the workflow for cleaning up the swatches faster by only taking one action instead of also having to remove an empty group folder.

Include original INDD filename in metadata on PDF export
Include original INDD filename in metadata on PDF export.
I often get PDFs from clients, usually well after a job has been completed, where they want to update it, or base a new document on the PDF. Some clients, no matter how many times you tell them not to, change the name of the PDF file, making it a little more difficult to find the source file. Or a new client will send me a PDF that I did not create... then I have to ask for the source file, and of course you get "deer in the headlights eyes". If you could point them to an exact filename that might help before you tell them you have to recreate the file from scratch. If you could include the original INDD filename in the PDF metadata that would help a LOT.

Compare Changes
I will send an updated document out and my clients won't be able to see what has changed. Can a setting or state be added to show the previous version vs the latest version?

Share for review - Select range
Hi, Loving the share for review feature, makes the proofing process so much easier, thanks adobe!
Really missing one feature thouh,: our documents often have alternate layouts, and we'd like to have an option for reviewing just one layout at a time, same as the feature in the publish online-tool. Please add.

Allow designers to "group pages" for to provide easier re-organization
Similar to grouping layers in photoshop and illustrator or styles in INDD, you should provide the folder option inside the pages panel to "group pages" to make sections easier to reorder.

Thesaurus
Hi
I have just spent 1.5 hours on a chat with your team re using a thesaurus function in InDesign (which there isn't one)
In design is a great product and amazingly intuitive with (almost) all the functions you need to create great documents however to use a simple function like a thesaurus I need to export to a .icml thingy which creates individual files for every chapter or section (filling up my files). Then you have to open each section individually in InCopy, which then creates a document that looks more like a 80' dot-matrix print out with no formatting or font detail etc, do you thesaurus work then hope the changes don't ***** up your formatting in the indesign document when it relinks.Could I suggest adobe just add a thesaurus tab in InDesign. I can't see it being that difficult, I mean even microsoft has managed to have it in 'word'
Note it is actually easier to just copy text into word, use thesaurus, then copy it back than go through the pain of InCopy
Please just add thesaurus
Thanks
