Can't PNG File on Feature Requests
Speaking of oversights, this is a design program and the feature request forum doesn't allow users to post pngs? What?

"Clear All Alerts" in Background Tasks
The fact that you cannot clear background tasks in bulk by selecting multiple, or clear all is a waste of time and a huge oversight.

Changed .ai with different layers, option ‘apply to all’ in pop-up-window
When I import .ai files and work on them, add layers and afterwards have to update the files I get an error message. And have to hit return any times the file is imported in my ID file.
It would be helpful if I could check 'apply to all' and hit return only once.1 vote -
Option to hide/block blue notifications bar in computer labs
I teach InDesign at the college level in a lab with 24 Macs all running the latest version. These lab computers are managed by the college, yet all students each and every day are suggested to try out the beta build of InDesign with AI assistant. Since these are public, managed computers there is no way for them to try this version out. As an instructor I would love the option to hide/disable these notifications as they literally get in the way of instruction. Thanks for listening!

Listst: change error message to: entry changed to align with indent
When I use bulleted or numbered lists I regularly are designing the indent/tabstep.
For instance: the first indent is set to 5; the 1st line jump back to 5 and the tab to 5mm.
But I am designing so I want to change the indent to 4; and ID gives me an error saying that a negative jump back is not allowed; I would appreciate if ID changes the second value automatically to the maximum allowed number and notify me of that change in the popup.1 vote -
Combine minimized tablets in panelgrid
A number of palettes (like glyphs) ar easy to use as pop-up, do your thing, and close again. It would be nice to be able to minimize palettes like in my simplified mockup screen dump but then also being able to put them in the palletgrid so they become part of all tools..

Stop notifications about new features
Since applying the latest Update there have been notifications about a new AI-Beta-Feature (see attached file). I closed it and hoped that it was a one time thing. However this pops up every time I start InDesign as well as multiple more times while InDesign is running after I already closed the notification after the first time. I would like to be able to disable this after seeing it once.
This is extremely annoying and makes me not want to try out your new features because you're pestering me about it so much.
I can read the changelogs when an Update is installed and decide for myself if it is relevant for my workflow. If you so desperately need to tell me about a feature via a notification at least add a checkbox to not display it again. You can be sure that I saw it, because I closed it once already!

Highlight Text Effect
Maybe this could be an extension of the paragraph shading options, but it'd be great to have a highlight text option that lets you adjust offsets like paragraph shading, except it goes to the end of each line and stops there vs shading the whole paragraph based on the longest line. Similar to the "text background" effect in Canva. That highlighted look is very popular now.
Right now I'm achieving this by either making thick underlines with negative offsets and having to add spaces at the beginning and end of each line, or I have to make separate text boxes per line with paragraph shading.

Remove duplicate space
Add a check mark spot to the paragraph format to control space between different styles. So we can remove space from a head to a list or equation. For example if I have a head and immediately a numbered list I will always want the space from the head to be dominate. Have a check box in the head that says dominate space and a check mark in the list that says remove space when following a dominate space.

j'aimerai bien pouvoir copier les effets (FX) dans indesign, comme sur photoshop pour pouvoir appliquer un même effet à d'autres blocs texte ou image. l'utilisation de la pipette nécessite d' avoir à changer sans arrêt les options de celle-ci, ce n'est pas franchement pratique. De plus un document comportant plusieurs pages ils vous faut retrouver la page ou l'effet est appliqué pour l'appliqué sur une autre. Alors que si l'effet était comme dans photoshop on pourrait facilement le copier coller
Autre suggestion lors ce que j'ouvre certain document lourd, je choisis un affichage standard ou rapide plutôt que l'affichage en qualité supérieur. J'aimerai que ce choix soit mémoriser dans les préférences à l'ouverture du document, liée au document et non au préférence générale d'ouverture.
Autre problématique, une couleur en ton direct importée d'illlustrator dans un document indesign n'est pas supprimable, hors il n'y a rien qui la différencie du reste. De surcrois vous ouvrez un document d'un client, vous utilisez la couleur "illustrator" sans savoir qu'elle est lié à un import puisque rien ne la distingue dans la pallette de nuance, du coup vous pouvez plus modifier la couleur partout ou elle est appliquée par un supprimer remplacer. j'aimerai pouvoir supprimer la couleur dans indesign sans que cela affect le fichier illustrator ou A défaut ce serait bien que les couleurs importées d'illustrator se distingue dans la palette de nuance.

In the Index Window, add a column to show if there is a Number Style Override and if yes, what format. It is time consuming to open each entry to confirm setting.

Grouped master-page elements
Could InDesign please fix the long-standing issue with grouped master-page elements? When elements are grouped across left- and right-hand masters, applying just one master can cause elements from the other to appear. Could elements be automatically clipped at the spine so only the selected master’s elements appear on each page?

Please make editing colors and adding swatches available anywhere colors are involved
E.g: in Paragraph Styles / Character Color - make it possible to add a color directly, in stead of having to leave the dialog to do so.

Display full file name in Relink dialog
It would be usefull to have displayed full file name in Relink dialog on MacOS.
It helps to find correct file in list faster without going somewhere else to find it out.Explanation here

MacOS27 use smaller corner radius in smaller windows like tab-settings
MacOS 27: Apple has changed the corner radius, but also offers to use a smaller radius (keyboard overview panel) and it seems a non-brainer to implement this in menu items like tabs.

Add context menu for recent files on home/start screen with option for Reveal in Finder
When a document is open, its tab gets the attached right-click context menu, but on the InDesign home screen, the Recent files shown don't have any context menu at all.
These items should have context menus, with the Reveal In Finder option at least to avoid needing to load the whole document from my network drive just to find it on disk.
This would also seemingly be a sensible place to put the "Remove From Recent" option that has been requested multiple times by other users.

I'm often working on a specific page and referencing other pages within the document.

Add a 'Discretionary Page Break'.
When working on a document, paragraphs can break up over pages. To get more control over these page breaks a 'discretionary page break' would be nice: like a discretionary hyphen, this should mark the preferred location for a page break.
Combine with keep options and some extra settings, this could provide a lot of comfort when working on documents in progress.
