measurements to page and or items
we would like to have dynamic measurements that show in the Slug the sizes of the total page. and also that it shows the measurements from the fold line to fold line.
This is good for all of us who make package designs in Indesign. or giving an exact position of items from each other.

Number & nombre
Hey Guys, you should'nt translate NUMBER by NUMÉRO in French for exemple NUMBER of column in menu Pages → Margins and Columns ) but by NOMBRE. NOMBRE is the right word in this case.

Change
I would like to draw the Chapter Title in a text variable from the File Info rather than trying to use the First on page/last on Page and setting a Paragraph style. It would be much faster, easier and more reliable to let us grab a field from File Info. I can get the Chapter File to update but then it won't appear in the TOC and the work arounds show that the software simply does not want to work the way one would expect. Copy Artboard Size across CC apps
I do this a lot: I have a diecut in Illustrator and need to create the layout in InDesign. I have a little OCD (like most DTP/Artworkers :)) ) so I create the diecut in Illustrator and then fit the artboard size to the whole art. When I start creating the layout in InDesign, I create the document using the same page size as the Illustrator file. And I do this several times a day. :)
It would be great to have an option/button in Artboard Tool (Illustrator) / Page Tool (InDesign) to copy the size and be able to…

Copying Links to folder fails
Oftentimes, when I try to copy links to a folder, it fails. No explanation as to why. It's happened dozens of times. Occasionally, it works. Usually not, though.
I am running InDesign 13.1 on Mac OS 10.13.6

Retained overwrites
While doing heavy make-up of book texts I often need to get in a line or to space out a line. Doing this without having countless paragraph overrides (with the danger that by clicking "clear override" or applying a script everything would be lost) the only possibility so far is to make numerous paragraph copies, e.g., "body", "body+5", "body+10", "body-5" etc.
A possible solution could be to have the paragraph style definition with some kind of "ranges", maybe "Tracking: 0 - +30" with a default value "0". And the actual value could be selected in a panel. Hopefully someone has…1 vote -

Mark to Mark Kerning & Positioning
Dear Adobe, you should really introduce mark to mark Kerning and Positioning in CC. These features are really crucial in resolving a lot of issues in Indic type design and it's dismal that none of the Adobe software support it. Apple's basic applications like PAGES supports it but not InDesign which is literally sad.

Spell check with glyphs
I added words with glyphs to my custom dictionary. In the spell check and spelling context menu these glyphs are not visible. I see f.ex haha-yoga in stead of Hatha-yoga ( the t in this word has a dot underneath). So my request is to make spell check work with glyphs.

Change "w" as a quick key between normal and preview mode!!!
This letter changes between normal and preview mode hiding bleed and pasteboard. It also if you mistakenly are in a text box removes entire editorial sections causing thousand in reprint costs. Everyone I know has had this disaster happen to them and all complain about this. Please change the default to a combination of keys to prevent these problems. We will have to get used to it but everyone will thank you.

subscription
I canceled my subscription to Indesign because I just used it 3 ou 4 times a year and 300 Euros by year it is quite expensive. I try to have acces to my files and I can not open it. I suggest that, in case as like me you spent more than 1000 euros to adobe, you can still have acces at Indesign file and use the version of Indesign you had when you stop your subscription. I really have the feeling to be stollen by adobe.

Please create a new visual identifier for missing glyphs rather than using the same pink color that indicates 'missing font'. I have just answered for the 3rd time a client's question why "The text is all in pink boxes but the Find Font dialog says there's no missing font, how can this be?!" Typically this happens when Western-language documents are translated to an Asian or Cyrillic language by pasting in the supplied translation. När man ska göra rättelser med textverktyget är inte funktionen optimal.
Först brukar man ju markera det som ska ändras och sedan skriva in ändringen. Det jag har problem med är att man måste trycka två gånger på första bokstaven som ska ändras vilket är mycket frustrerande och lätt innebär att det blir fel i texten.
Varför fungerar inte verktyget så att man markerar och så skriver man in ändringen som man gör i andra program.1 vote
