Reinclude the cutter tool
The cutter tool has not been included as it was in old Pagemaker This tool is very useful. Without this tool, if you import an Autocad drawing, it is not possible to resize the content to the frame. I recommend to include this tool as it was in Pagemaker.

Let InDesign pick RGB colors from RGB images in RGB Blend Space
InDesign will be used for onscreen documents ore and more.
Please facilitate that in the eyedropper.Maybe an easy switch to make a document RGB or CMYK would help (like in Ai).

Align points
It would be really helpful if it was possible to align points in InDesign. I use guides to align points, but it's not quite as accurate as I want it to be. Thanks!

Please make 4K and Dual Monitor split view layout remember
Please make dual monitor more support - i had to use Split Layout one for other one for bigger screen, as i use stretch windows spanning into dual screen, but every time I open an document it kept forgetting Split Layout as I have to adjust scroll bars into near middle between..
I tried to save workplace along with dual split layout - doesnt work.

Pdf-files export to Indesign
I am missing the following function in Indesign: You have, as an example, 100 pdf files, format A4, and you want to print them 2 on an A3 sheet, but in such a way that the pdfs number 1 to 50 are shown on the left in the file/paper, and on on the right the pdf's of nr 51-100. If you then cut the A3 in the middle, you have two piles with all the PDFs in order of number.

Data merge
Recently I started using InDesign to make user manuals, but I wanted to make it easier to adapt it to the multiple products. I would like you to add an option where I can use multiple categorie variations on the same page underneath each other for the multiple languages that I need to include in the manual.

Make EXPORT and print dialogues more correct
The “spreads” function when combined with bleeds or trims options should warn to the effect that “Printers rarely accept spreads are you sure?”
While we are at it, the standard pressready setting should include bleeds.
Sick of sending back files advising that spreads is not a "print ready" and explaining what bleed is and how include bleed on pdf.

Adobe's out-of-date "Check Spelling" system
For long documents, every copy-conscious designer uses InDesign's "Check Spelling" feature. I think we can all agree it can be improved; the functionality and interface have changed very little since InDesign's inception.
We need an "Ignore Capitalization" button/feature:
InDesign users spend most of their spell-check time clicking the "Skip" or "Ignore All" buttons: skipping capitalization issues (where there are forced line breaks or lead-in lines styled in all caps, making the uncapped offender a benign issue), skipping proper names, skipping the plural and possessive versions of words we've already confirmed as legitimate. Why a new .indd file format with each update?
There was a time ID didn't require a new file format with each yearly update. Although I realize some features may genuinely require a new .indd format, I'm not sure the changes to latest CC22 require one. This is the 4th or 5th consecutive change, which means I have to update all files I regularly use through the years (standards manuals and the like). I can still seamlessly open Photoshop and Illustrator files from 5-10 years ago without worrying about re-saving them.

Font size menu bars
I would like to be able to increase the font size for menu bars, tools and mouse-over hints. It would be a great improvement in terms of accessibility.

Search entire volume for missing picture / links
Search entire volume for missing picture / links connection as its enormously laborious to search each with windows explorer, then copy to dedicated folder then point Indesign to this dedicated folder.
Why isn't it possible to point Indesign to a entire volume, let Indesign search for all missing links and by "packing" all files are copied to the "links"-folder. Would be mega-comfortable !!!1 vote -
Fit Tables to Frame
Sometimes you just know how exactly a table should look, so a table that would just fill the frame you just created would just make sense. A way to resize the table without distorting its content or anything else would be a nice improvement to.

Hide Extra's / Selection Edges / Anchor points etc.
When manipulating colors of a selected Object, the color of the Handles etc. distracts from judging the color changes.

Center and zoom in
I often find it hard to spot the pins on the canvas when reviewing comments for a busy layout. A center in and zoom level or a better highlighted pin would be awesome!

Access setting defaults
Share for review is a game changer! Thank you! But every time the compiling and uploading is done I need to change the access type from access setting it has to re-compile and upload. This is such a shame.

Multilanguage Bullets in English Version for languages that do not have a native In Design Application
Please make an option for the bullets that are alphabetic to be able to change them in another language. I.E. a,b,c,d, to be able to change into let's say Greek α,β,γ,δ.
