Full Screen / Split Screen Support for InDesign/InCopy on MacOS
It really would be helpful if the Adobe CC apps (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop et al) all did as Acrobat Pro DC does and properly implemented the MacOS full screen/split screen option.
This would allow people who use multiple and large monitors to properly designate workspace and split screens between two apps without toolbars/panels getting hidden by other apps.

Toggle between Text Tool and Selection Tool
I am guessing most users' experience is like mine: I am constantly going back and forth between the Text tool (working within a text block) and the Selection tool (to select/move a text block handle, or reach for something else). It's something I do dozens of times an hour during a work session. Pagemaker used to have a toggle between these two tools, which was easily accessible to the non-mousing hand: Command-Spacebar. I would urge the development of this toggle in future InDesign releases.
I know you can activate the Selection tool with the Escape key, but that's a long…
2 votesWhen you have the Text Tool selected & working inside a Text Frame (cursor blinking inside the text frame), you can hold down the Cmd key. When you do that, you will immediately see the 9-points of the text frame getting highlighted, letting you Move the Text Frame by holding down on the edges with the mouse. You can resize using of the 9-points as well.
Hope this helps. See the attached demo. -
In the PDF comment window, a button to delete all resolved comments
In the PDF comment window, a button to delete all resolved comments would be useful, keeping comments that have not yet been resolved.
When it gets too much comment the computer is very slow. And the tool for importing comments is very useful in my case.
Unfortunately, publishers here in Brazil make many amendments to the diagrammed files.

Revert to original, efficient New Document dialogue box.
An option to revert to the old, more compact and efficient "New Document" window.
There are 8,342 awesome ideas of additions and updates for InDesign on this site, yet someone took the time to make this new interface... If you have used InDesign for more than 1 day you don't need this. It is huge, and inefficient. There used to be an option to revert to this style but it is gone now.
Efficiency is KING in InDesign. If we wanted a clunky, chunky UI we could use a Microsoft product ;-)
Thanks!

Lock/Unlock all objects in an entire document
Currently we can lock/unlock an object or all objects on a spread. But what about getting the same features for an entire document so that you don't need to manually do this for every spread?

Home page (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
Please add keyboard ability to CLOSE the big honkin home pages. When I close a document and want to be in my Finder looking for the next thing, I have to mouse up and click on the red CLOSE button at upper left of the home screen to remove it from view. Yes, it's not a huge thing, but a Cmd-W there (the universal CLOSE command on the keyboard) would be much appreciated for workflow.

Undo Delete or "Trash Folder" in Online Published Dashboard
We were so happy to find adobe online publishing so that in these times we can reach our customers digitally. But i am sad to see that the options and features are very limited. Today it happened that i accidentally deleted a published document, that was also sent to my 6000 customers per newsletter. After a very long chat with CS, i was told to write here. Nothing can be done, i cant reactived to undo my deleted document.

Cmd K should create a Hyperlink
I find myself constantly hitting Cmd + K when trying to add a hyperlink in InDesign and always going "GAH!" because that keystroke opens the preferences panel.
With InDesign trying to be competitive in the online publishing department, I recommend using the same keystroke most other programs use (Google, Word). Even if it's not the same quick command, hyperlinks should be easy to add.

A shortcut / button that automatically expands your selected shape to fill the page
I find myself drawing many rectangles a day to create backgrounds for a document. It's obviously no problem at all, but seems the process could be sped up if I could just use a shortcut that automatically resizes a selected shape to fill the page, and it would also remove the potential for error if you haven't quite lined up the rectange correctly. Maybe there's already a solution for this?

Please make pinch to zoom work on Surfacebook Windows 10.
Pinch to zoom simply doesn't work on any adobe apps on when using a Surfacebook. It can work in Photoshop if you turn off two finger scrolling, but that's it. It's incredible annoying, and as someone coming from a Mac, it's killing my workflow. Please fix this.

Video player controls in publish online too small when starting retina document
When starting a document in bigger dimension (for example iPad retina) the controls of the viewer are very small. They are bigger when started as iPad1024x768. Shouldn't the controllers be based on percentages of the width of the screen?

Table of contents update only page numbers
Like in MsWord, it would be a nice feature to update the table of contents and update only the numbers, or update text and numbers together. Sometimes people change long words in a table of content just to fit a header into one line of text. Or they add a few words behind the header just to make the table of content easier to understand. When updating the table of content then it would be nice if you could choose to update only the numbers.

Folders within dashboard
Would be good to be able to organise published documents into folders. Like many users, we are piling up documents and need to get more organised with them. One long list isn't helpful

Add PDF tags in Character styles
In documents, we often have characters that need to be artifacted in the exported PDF, such as:
Decorative bullets that aren't a list.
The "end of story" glyph (called an end of proof sign, U+220E)
Dot leaders between tabs or in TOCs
And just about any other glyph a designer uses for pure design, not semantic content.
Add PDF Export Tags to Character Styles and let us designate these items to be artifacted, as well as apply these other inline character-level tags:
<Formula>
<Quote>
<Reference>
<Code>

Exporting text from unchained boxes
The ability to export selected unchained text boxes into ONE text file, by selecting them and then exporting, rather than having to export multiple boxes into multiple files, and then collating them. And have them appear in order.
This would very useful when exporting text from print to the web, being able to extract an entire story in one hit, or when extracting, for example, multiple quote boxes
At the moment one has to export an entire page and it just turns into a mush1 vote -
PDF forms: Set text as DATE field
Requesting that this function from Acrobat would be implemented in InDesign to speed up creation of PDF forms. Thanks : )

Make embedded video readable in Adobe Reader as before
For many years InDesign has given us the feature to embed video in PDFs. We built a business round this format. Now, with the demise of Flash Player, all our ebooks with embedded video (not Flash content) are not usable by the customers who have bought them over past years, all round the world. We pay no small sum to use InDesign and CS. You have given us this format, which still exists, yet you won't update Adobe Reader with a media player to play the resulting files. How difficult can this be? Other formats exist, yes, but none of…

Find/Replace working with number series
I am working with a document containing thousands of serial numbers. I want to insert a hyphen i the middle of each number using "find and replace"
The challenge is to replace all serial numbers in the document that look like this: Mxxxxxxxxxx with this Mxxxx-xxxxxx
Using find/replace with jokers, i am able to find all serial numbers that i want to change. M^9^9^9^9 but when i want to replace them and insert a – by typing this, M^9^9^9^9–, the old numbers disappear.
It results in the following example:
M6015803710 ––> M^9^9^9^9-803710
Instead of:
M6015803710 ––> M6015-803710Thanks!

Open as Copy or Open as Template
Rather than opening an existing file and then "save as" I'd like the option to open an existing file as a COPY or TEMPLATE. This would help in environments with many users from accidentally saving over a file and would allow a user to open a document currently in use by another
