   Don't Adobe and Apple talk to each other? Every time one or the other changes tech, nothing works. They need to be on the same page as each other because it goes hand in hand with their products working together.

2. option to have PDF Export to output PDF using page number as prefix

   Printer needs files with prefix page number. The export make no sense with it being at the end when you have different file names and won't allow the combining of multiple files with different names that I use to proof my magazines. By the way, scripts are not working using Monterey OS any more. What a disappointment.

3. The book workflow is unimaginably bad, and it's because of how styles are managed

   After trying out the book workflow for 6 months, designing 3 books with it -
   I've concluded that it's a completely broken feature, that makes my work 160% more time consuming.

   I'm literally in the process of moving all documents of a current book I'm working on into a single document, because it became so frustrating.

   So the main problem (among many others), which has already been posted here and seemingly ignored - is the entire way that styles and parent (master) pages are managed in the book workflow.

   My workflow, and I can't imagine it being that different for other designers, is as follows:
   I create a book with let say five documents in it, each representing a chapter or whatever. I then proceed to work on each of these documents, and as the design process advances, I create more and more styles - object, paragraph, character etc.

   And to make sure everything is synchronized, I make sure that the document I'm currently working on is the style source. Whenever I move on to a different document - I synchronize the book, move to the other document, make it the style source and then I keep on working.

   At first I didn't see a flaw in that workflow. But things get very messy very quickly. After working on a book for while, you start to rethink your styles, the logic behind them, the way they're organized and grouped together. And then you start deleting styles, and changing names, and grouping them.
   But the next time you synchronize the book, all the changes are ACCUMULATED rather than SYNCHRONIZED. That is, my documents become a dumpster for every style and parent page that I ever used.

   Getting them in order is painstaking, and the fact that parent pages can't be grouped together - just adds to the mess.

   There should be a better way to do this. And there is.
   Styles should be on the book level. Simple as that.
   And a user that feels like he really could use document-level style and parent pages - grouping styles by the document name should suffice.

   I can't imagine this being SO difficult for the indesign team for it to not be a viable solution.
   InDesign is a software aimed for professionals, and it simply isn't robust enough right now. Many crucial features are missing and have been requested for such a long time - whether they're at the core of book design, or whether they're simply needed for effective editing and designing.

   I REALLY hope to see a major update tacking the book workflow, as it's much needed, but sadly unusable.

4. Harmonize size of curve handles and object handles as part of UI scaling

   The UI scaling is a nice add in 2022. Thank you! But the handles for curves are still tiny relative to the object handles. Can we harmonize?

5. Allow object styles to be applies to all threaded text boxes

   I have a couple of threaded text frames. I would like them to all have the same object style, which also includes a paragraph style in them.

   As of now, indesign officially states that threaded text boxes can't share these settings. I can see why this makes sense in certain conflicting situations, but it is definitely required in many situations (just as I'm really needing it now).

   I think it's fair for indesign to at least have it as an option that can be turned on or off - the option to apply object styles (e.g. paragraph styles) across threaded text boxes.

10. Convert all Live Captions to Static Captions

    I would like the ability to convert all Live Captions to Static Captions. Currently, you can only do one at a time by selecting the caption, and selecting the menu item to convert (or create a hotkey).

    When working with a long document with a lot of images, you can't use character styles with Live Captions. But once you convert to static captions, paragraph styles can then call character styles (nested, GREP). If you have a long book or catalog with a lot of images that rely on up-to-date captions, but then require character styles (for example, an image from a movie, where the movie needs to be italicized), you keep the caption live until the end, then you have to convert to static captions.

11. Request for adding Mongolian language spelling dictionary

    Hello,

    Of course, there are many users from Mongolia, but we can't use our native language spelling dictionary in Indesign. And I want to add a Mongolian language spelling dictionary to Indesign. I've attached the Hunspell dictionary file with the hyphenation file. Hope every Mongolian will be using a Mongolian spelling dictionary within Indesign soon. Thank you!

12. Easy Setup for Printers Spreads without using Print Booklet feature

    I would like to see an option within the Document Setup when creating a new document to arrange spreads in readers spreads or printers spreads. This way, I would not spend two hours attempting to manually arrange my pages into the correct spreads.

    For example: I have created a new document with 12 pages (not facing pages). However, in order to see the pages in printers spreads, I need to go about individually changing page settings for each page within the document. I want the back cover (p.12) and front cover (p1) to sit side by side so that in the pages palette, the spread would display [12,1]. See attached screenshot.

    The pages would display as spreads this way in the pages palette:
    [12,1]
    [2,11]
    [10,3]
    [4,9]
    [8,5]
    [6,7]

    How much easier would this be than if Adobe would build this option in to the Document Setup while creating a new document?

    I generally use printers spreads for about 75% of my documents and each time I have to spend so much time trying to set this up properly. It is frustrating.

13. Have a repository of InDesign experts to help beginners accelerate their project

    In the Help menu, it would be nice to have one item where it says: Hire Help
    Here is the rationale:
    I'm stuck with this one project and I don't know who to ask questions ouside the usual "Hire a virtual assistant".
    What I mean is this: why would I go outside the the InDesign Help ecosystem to get help?
    If there was a pool of legal professional users of InDesign, I would be the first one to use it.

14. hyperlink destination

    There should be a panel where I can see all of the hyperlink destinations I've created. And they should be clickable to test whether they are still working properly. Hyperlinks show up in the hyperlinks panel, but in-document destinations (used for cross references) cannot be tested without exporting to a test document. Nor can I see a list of them outside the drop-down within the xrefs panel.

15. Option to pick your default Share for Review Private or Public Access Setting

    This may already be available (if so please teach me), but I don't see it.

    Having the share for review option able to default to either public or private access. I can't tell you how many times I am in a rush and forget to click public and then the person gets back and says, they don't have access.

    REQUEST
    Make the area for "dropping" a page/spread larger and on above and below pages/spreads.

    ISSUE
    The current area to "drop" a page/spread is small and inconsistent (see attached video). It also limited to the left or right of a page/spread, NOT above or below.

    GOAL
    Move or duplicate a page to a specific location in the document, more efficiently.

    REASON
    Duplicate page command sends the duplicate to the end of the document, which typically needs to be moved to another location in the document, thus highlighting the issue regardless of moving or duplicating via alt/option drag.

    STEPS
    Select a page/spread.
    (Hold Alt/Option, if duplicating)
    Click and hold mouse/trackpad.
    Drag page/spread to desired location in document.
    Hover over existing page/spread until vertical line appears left or right of the page/spread.
    Hover towards desired location before or after existing page/spread.
    Release mouse/trackpad.

    DESIRED RESULT
    When moving or alt/option dragging a page/spread the resulting area to drop the page/spread is:
    1. Consistent
    2. Larger, especially to the right of the existing page/spread.
    3. Includes above and below a spread.

    REQUEST
