language
No new idea but having the ability to change the language of interface could make InDesign more usable. Please give us that ability without having to uninstall and reinstall the application to change the language.

Please change wording for German translation of forced line break
The term »forced line brake« has been wrongly translated to German quite a while ago. There exist two terms in German for the »forced line break« that lead to confusion among users because they are used interchangeably.
One is (translated) »hard line brake« the other one »soft line brake«. But what in a line break is soft or hard? This makes no sense at all.
It would be great to just use the literal translation of the English term which is »Erzwungener Zeilenumbruch« (SHIFT + Return).
Please find attached instances of the use in the German UI. Thanks!

Scrubby Sliders for Everything Like Photoshop
In Photoshop, every scalable feature (opacity, text size, feather radius, etc) is a slider if you click and drag on the name of the adjustment. This is particularly useful for (large) font size. In Photoshop, you can live preview your text size by sliding, while InDesign you have to either arrow key or type numbers to preview. At the very least, make the font size drop down go above 72 pt like Figma!

hyperlink destination
There should be a panel where I can see all of the hyperlink destinations I've created. And they should be clickable to test whether they are still working properly. Hyperlinks show up in the hyperlinks panel, but in-document destinations (used for cross references) cannot be tested without exporting to a test document. Nor can I see a list of them outside the drop-down within the xrefs panel.

Name of the image near the link icon
Near the link icon, add the option "show/hide file name (and or extension)".
This will help when you have a catalog with 1200 products and in order to get the SKU and Color to fill the caption, you must click the image, then return to the text tool.
I know there's ways to auto input the name of the image. But sometimes the image contain other Information not important.

Harmonize size of curve handles and object handles as part of UI scaling
The UI scaling is a nice add in 2022. Thank you! But the handles for curves are still tiny relative to the object handles. Can we harmonize?

Add submenu listed to Paragraph settings
When editing a Paragraph Style, we can see all options in the left column of the panel. Why no ad that to the Paragraph panel als well

Application Menu Search (Windows)
I know this is an operating system thing, but after switching to Windows from Mac, I'm missing the search bar under the Help menu. I made a suggestion on the Windows Feedback Hub, but it doesn't seem to be getting much traction there. Unless I'm missing something, there's got to be others of you missing this functionality. Have a repository of InDesign experts to help beginners accelerate their project
In the Help menu, it would be nice to have one item where it says: Hire Help
Here is the rationale:
I'm stuck with this one project and I don't know who to ask questions ouside the usual "Hire a virtual assistant".
What I mean is this: why would I go outside the the InDesign Help ecosystem to get help?

Let InDesign remember the last chosen size of the app window on screen.
Like many people I work on a very large screen, and I have to refit the extend of the window every time I start InDesign. I think the problem is the same across most of your apps. Windows 10 btw.2 votes -

Hover over panels to expand them and let them collapse automatically
Hi
When working on a single (and small) monitor setup I am constantly collapsing and moving the panels of Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator because that specific panel is hidden behind another expanded panel.This should fix that problem and should save me multiple clicks:
The option to expand panels when hovering over the panel's icon and auto-collapse them when the mouse leaves the expanded panel. The workspace stays clean that way and I don't need to constantly close unused panels.2 votes -
Please make 4K and Dual Monitor split view layout remember
Please make dual monitor more support - i had to use Split Layout one for other one for bigger screen, as i use stretch windows spanning into dual screen, but every time I open an document it kept forgetting Split Layout as I have to adjust scroll bars into near middle between..
I tried to save workplace along with dual split layout - doesnt work.

Smooth trackpad two finger scrolling
Smooth trackpad two finger scrolling. Using Macbook Pro with m1. Currently, scrolling two fingers via trackpad is laggy. Wish it was as smooth as scrolling while using the hand tool.

Hide Extra's / Selection Edges / Anchor points etc.
When manipulating colors of a selected Object, the color of the Handles etc. distracts from judging the color changes.

Unresolved cross references need to be detected as errors
If a document contains unresolved cross-references, InDesign should register them as errors that show up at the bottom of the main window, with specifics listed in the Preflight window. At present, InDesign will notify me of the existence of unresolved cross-references when I start to print a file or book, and it will identify which files contain them, but it won't show me where to find them so I can fix them.

画像のリンクが埋め込まれているか、アプリを起動してファイルを開かなくても分かるようにしてほしいです。作業終了後リンク切れしないか確認するとき、立ち上げる動作が少し面倒に感じています。

Better UI scaling option
The only way to adjust the UI size in Indesign is to change the scaling for your whole system, and even then it only supports up to 200% scaling and there is no way to make it bigger beyond that.
I got a new laptop with a HD 4k screen and its already scaled to 250% (I'm using Windows 10) but the user interface is still too small and it really slows down my workflow. Even if increasing my OS scaling to 300%+ fixed it (which it doesn't), it would still be infuriating to have everything on my computer scaled…
