Save state of checkbox "Preview" in dialogs, which since ages does resets after every maj/min-update – in contrast to the Preferences 😭
A crazy idea, to not have the user do settings AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!
You cant tell me, there is noone angry with this behaviour. Or everybody has resignated after years, and has accepted this extremly bad UX, which you cant be proud of.

Add 'Apply to All' function when relinking multiple identical image files through the links panel.
Add 'Apply to All' function when relinking multiple identical image files through the links panel - ie when swapping a PNG with an EPS or completely new image with a different files name. When relinking multiple identical images through the links panel, user is required to relink every single image separately one after another. Adding and 'Apply to All' function would speed up this process when looking to update 50 images as once.

Stop turning all your products into Canva
The pop ups and changes to the UI are unnecessary and disruptive to decades of established workflow. Stop treating your established customer base like they're idiots and not design professionals. If wanted to use Canva I would.

A preset to limit your FONT view to preferred language, such as the one chosen by OS/region.
I have to use Noto Sans; Its required by my work at my University.
Is there a way to limit your font view to preferred language chosen by OS/region. My font menu is a mess of languages and it's hard to navigate to choose just "Noto Sans." Try it... really.. Try and Type "Noto Sans"... I never get the one I type it's always one of the other languages versions.
- So when a user choose their working language, InDesign offer them the right set of font.
Font lists are wayyyy tooooooo long to contain all the wolds languages by default!…

Display effective ppi and actual ppi of selected image at the Control panel
I'd like to see the effective ppi and actual ppi of an image displayed at the Control panel for easy of use. It's a very important information for me as I routinelly place several images on our publications and it's really cumbersome to have to open the Links panel or the Info panel just to check an image resolution while there's plentiful of unused space at the Control panel where this information could sit.

Make it possible to anchor a graphic to the beginning of a paragraph without five or six tries and two or three zooms
It'll go AFTER the first letter…it'll go some random place in the first FEW letters, but before the first one? Especially if the first one is a sans-serif letter "I"? HAHAHAHAHAH! No. Not without cajoling, retrying, zooming, threatening, and telling it what a good little cursor it is.
I realize this isn't a **** problem, but it's been literally decades of this feature being…what's the technical term…bad.

Easier Workspace Profile Overwriting
When updating a custom workspace (via Window > Workspace), it would be helpful to have a direct option to overwrite an existing saved workspace—rather than requiring users to select “New Workspace…” and retype the same name manually to replace it.

Displaying docs side by side; use the whole screen
I have two docs to either compare or take details from etc, I need them side by side, so I use the Window > Arrange option and have them in whatever config I need. They then resize to ⅔ the screen size next to each other. Then grabbing a corner to resize the window makes them jump all over the place. It works perfectly fine when I split a window (Window > Arrange > Split Window), it keeps the doc full size of the screen, so why not when tiling?

It is highly recommended to add a stroke unit toggle on the right click of the ruler.

Things on the artboard moves when adding pages
I work on long documents and sometimes I have notes/objects/revisions for my team about the page to the side in the artboard. But adding pages moves the artboard and it's object away from the page and sometimes I don't notice for a while. I recognize there is a notes feature, but sometimes it's alternate versions of a table or object that need to be reviewed before implementation or are on hold. It would be a really useful toggle option.

Remove the floating "help with a feature items"
I wanted to share some feedback regarding a recent usability issue I’ve experienced across several Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
In recent updates, each of these programs has introduced tool-specific pop-up panels or hints that appear when a tool is selected. While I understand the intent is to offer helpful tips or highlight features, these pop-ups are consistently disruptive to my workflow. They frequently appear directly over the content I'm working on and are difficult to reposition. Arrange features
I've been frustrated with the new way dragging a document tab to make it a seperate window forces it into a split screen first, and then I have to grab the tab again and the second time it actually makes it a new window. I'd like to be able to toggle that feature on and off (I'm sure it works for someone's workflow). Additionally, the document window edges often hides under the menu and/or below the edge of my screen. Delete unused
In several menu's 'Select unused [...]' can be found.
I think everyone uses this to get rid of unused Swatches, Styles etc.Why not add 'Delete unused [...] to the menu?

Plug-in API to temporarily disable new feature guided tours
InDesign 2025 has several new panels (History, Math Expressions, Export to Adobe Express, Insert MathML) which have associated guided “tours” which bring up windows containing animation and/or an explanation of the new feature and how to use it. The menu items for these new panels that have available guided tours are indicated by a blue dot next to the menu item before the guided tour is viewed by the user. Allow data merge placeholders to be used directly in QR Code URL & Text
Data merge placeholders like <<Sample URL>> do not work when used in QR Codes.
That would be cleaner and easier to use than the current data merge which requires the syntax described on https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/data-merge.html
The Edit QR Code dialog should be improved to support these placeholder values.

Insert Kashida option in Character Style
In Indesing UI there is an option to Insert Kashida width options: "None", "Short", "Medium", "Long" and "Stylistic" but these options are not there in Character style creation window.
Please include this option in Character Style creation window so that it can be easier to apply type of kashida as required by the user.

Pasteboard automatically resizes to larger content
use ai for something helpful like automatically resizing the pasteboard when larger content is drug onto it... (don't give me an error message when i'm too close to the edge) resize the pasteboard to encompass the content
