let me add my voice to this request. my company moves a lot of graphics that are created in InDesign into PPT. right now, the three ways we can do this are:
1. Export to PNG (not editable, scaling issues)
2. Add to CC library, place in PPT (not editable)
3. Copy to Illustrator, export as SVG, place in PPT (additional steps, occasional issues w/copy/paste)if we could export directly to SVG, that would make things simpler.

Thank you for voting for the feature request.
It will be helpful if you can add your responses for the below queries.1. In the absence of this feature in InDesign – how do you make these adjustments today?
2. Once the image is imported into InDesign, what kind of adjustments do you mostly need?
3. On an average, in a project, how many images need adjustments once they are imported into InDesign?

this is "fakeable" with an effect.
Create a box with a black or gray fill. Import an image into that box.
select the image inside that box with the direct selection tool.
change the effect for the image itself (not the box the image is inside of) to "luminosity."

any update on this as a future roadmap option?
as a side note for anyone else frustrated with this, there is a script from Keith Gilbert that will automatically copy the artwork, paste it into illustrator, then save as SVG in the same folder as your INDD file.

it's a helpful workaround, since it avoids manual steps, but it's frustrating to see that Keith can write a script to do this and Adobe still hasn't managed to integrate a feature that used to exist back into InDesign.
