An error occurred while saving the comment Alan Gilbertson commentedAnother workaround I stole from Anne-Marie Concepcion is to create a Character Style called "None" and make all of the options blank. You can then give that style a shortcut, and it will replace the Character Style of the selected text with [None].

An error occurred while saving the comment Alan Gilbertson commentedYes, we need all of the above! The "live search" UX would speed up working in the Links panel the same way it does in the font dropdown, Quick Apply or any browser search field.

An error occurred while saving the comment Alan Gilbertson commentedIt seems that this should be a fairly simple thing to implement. None of the other CC programs have this problem, and it adds "adjust to correct size and position" an extra unnecessary step for the user every time InDesign opens.

This is a known bug. Until they fix it, the workaround is to turn off the Control Panel or, if you need it, disable Character Font in the Control Panel Settings.
