An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedAs above but with some meat on the bones to describe the expected behaviour:
I should be able to double click on the tool icon to bring up a options window to set the size of the gap I want. Even more useful would be the ability to pre-select a number of objects and then single click with the Gap Tool to resize the gap between the pre-selected objects to the predetermined value.
Thanks!

We have recently started development work on Convert PDF to INDD. Going forward, we will keep adding more functionality and refining it.
The feature is available as a Beta feature in InDesign 19.5 Beta version, available via the CCD app.
Note: For now, it is available only when InDesign's install language is English (North America or International).
Please provide us feedback on this Beta feature. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Hi,
As per our understanding the issue is as follows:
Launch InDesign.
1. Press alt+scroll using the mouse wheel to zoom in/out.
2. InDesign switches focus to the menu-bar so that the next keyboard press will enact the menu shortcut.
3. Type F, E, L, or T after using alt+scrollResult:
Menu entry is opened from the control strip (example View menu as soon as you hit the V key).Expected:
Key press should select the suitable tool denoted by that keyThis has been the behavior since quite long and does not look like a break in behavior.
Please can you confirm?Thanks
An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedHi @amaarora
You summarise correctly although I believe this has not been a long time problem and is something either recent, or windows 10 specific as I have recently (in the last month) switched from windows 7.
I always use the Alt+Scroll combination and have only recently started experiencing issues. It is a combination that I use constantly across InDesign as well as Illustrator and Photoshop.
In all 3 programs when you tap on the Alt key on it's own, the focus switches to the menu bar (as it should) this is indicated by the first menu (File) becoming active. This is visually represented by a depressed button and acts like a toggle button when you tap Alt on its own.
However the combination of Alt+Scroll shouldn't act like a toggle, while holding Alt, the menu items become underlined but as soon as you scroll and release the Alt key, the menu bar should no longer have/be the focus.
I have since captured a video but do not see where I can upload to this forum entry, without creating a new one. Is there an email address I can send it to?

Thank you for reporting the issue.
Has is started to happen in Id 14.0.2? Was it working fine before? An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedIf I could add to this bug report - it would be really helpful if when you clicked on a PDF comment in the list from the Panel, that the document view setting didn't keep resetting to fit to page.
If I click on a comment in the list the ideal scenario should be that the document retains the same view magnification and focuses to the part of the page where the sticky note is anchored.
An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Hutchings commentedHi Abhinav, unfortunately I cannot say whether it worked previously, yesterday was the first time I tried to use the feature.

I wholeheartedly support this although I actually came to uservoice today to post a different request that this feature would make redundant.
I had wanted to suggest that the left indent input box be positioned below the first line indent in all toolbar/UI environments as it bugs the **** out of me that when setting up bullets/lists you come to the Left Indent box first.
What's the issue with that, you might think?
Well you adjust it from 6.35mm to 5mm and then you get an error message stating that you've set an 'Invalid indent value. Indents cannot extend outside text frame.". To avoid this you need to skip the first box and go straight to the First Line Indent and set a minus value ex. -5mm. Now you can go back to the Left Indent and set that to 5mm either by taking your hand off the keyboard and using the mouse to click in the box or using the awkward Shift+TAB, to select the previous input box.
It would be so much easier for keyboard input to be able to use the TAB from the first to the next but you can't when setting the value lower that what it currently is (default 6.35mm) without hitting running into the stupid error message.
You wouldn't need to rearrange the UI if you'd allow for negative indents!!!
