When using the file with style mapping ID crashes.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ulrich Dirr commentedThis is not fixed at all! ID 2019 v14.0.1 still crashes while importing a Word file (after reading styles an empty (white) window about missing fonts pops up and after a few seconds the crash reporter is displayed).
BTW when putting my German email address the crash reporter tells me that this is not a valid email address. When using my Gmail address it is working. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ulrich Dirr commentedI support the idea. Already when having two text frames on a page you have a problem getting numbers correctly. Say one text frame is sitting in the margin but needs a footnote. But it should appear in the main text block with all other footnotes.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have started to explore this feature. Will share more details soon
Thanks
AbhinavAn error occurred while saving the comment Ulrich Dirr commentedWhile preparing a book for print it is also useful to have this feature when fine-tuning paragraph make-up. Just think of adding a CF for "no hyphenation" but the word already has "italics" applied.

Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while.
We had launched our investigation into the matter to get to the root cause of the problem. As the part of our investigation, we had reached out to many of you personally over email.
We have concluded our investigation and have come up with few findings.1. For many of the users the issue got fixed after updating InDesign to a newer version.
2. For some, the issue got resolved after disabling a third-party application such as Suitecase fusion etc.
3. For few, the issue was intermittent and is no longer reproducible.
4. For majority of the users, the underlying cause of the performance issue was identified to be related to span columns, cross-references, third party plugin etc.We have created separated threads for these issues and we are now working towards resolving them.
However, over the time this thread…

We’ve tried to reproduce the issue you’ve mentioned. It is working as expected.
Could you elaborate a bit more on the exact steps you are doing when you see the problem? If you could also attach a small demo movie, that’ll be even more helpful. Thanks,

Solved! If in the style mapping a style exists which is not yet defined the ID crashes. If the mapping is corrected the import works well. Even with the WordsFlow plugin.
