    Endnotes for books so that all references can be included en masse in a separate chapter at the end.. This would be EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks!

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)
    We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

    I am on the latest version of InDesign, 2019 14.0.1 and the crashing is still occurring on link update.

    I am using the book functionality. If I open a book chapter and the links need to be updated, I click "update" and InDesign immediately crashes. This happens with any book I am working in.

    Running High Sierra 10.13.6.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your patience all this while; we really appreciate your support!

    Our investigation suggests that one of common reasons for the problem is that certain software (mostly antivirus and other security applications) and browser extensions happen to enable “Secure Keyboard Entry” on Mac machines due to which some keys such as Shift key in this case do not perform the desired action in InDesign.

    For now I request you to follow the below provided KB doc for the quick workaround of the problem.

    In the comments section many of the users have confirmed that disabling Webroot SecureAnywhere (a security app) has resolved the issue for them. Please note that, the problem may not be related to a particular software; there could be a different application or antivirus which might be causing the problem by enabling Secure Keyboard Entry on Mac.

    Interestingly, a simple reboot of my Mac cleared the problem for me... no idea why this was happening, but give it a shot.

    This problem was posted already and marked solved, but the resolution is not correct. (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/31495999-proportional-scaling-using-shift-button-not-workin?page=5&per_page=20#{toggle_previous_statuses})

    The ability to scale containers proportionally, and to scale containers proportionally while also scaling the contents, is no longer working in current InDesign CC version.

    I am not running any antivirus software or other programs that would conflict, as the previous answer suggested.

    Please advise ASAP as losing this functionality is really effecting my working time.

    I'm not the only one! I am running no conflicting software. How can this not be working; it is a serious hindrance to my work.

    Adobe, can we have an update on when this will be fixed please?
