An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedI want to chime in here: I found out that an individual string in bulletpoint&numbering has this effect too.

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedWhile probably working on this soon, there should be an option to use the pagenames as export-names for export as single pages, such as jpg-export.
NEU! supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedI workarounded a batch-jpg-export-script with given export filenames. These names are in the page-bookmarks. This scripting, just to have 'export-names', is clunky, to say at least.
I like the idea of giving the pages a script-label-like text field. Although various bookmarks can point to a single page, so you can use different export names per page.

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedWhat steps do you prefer? I could think of the same as in InD-preferences "Units and measurement / keyboard-steps".

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedThe way InD and Illustrator work different here, I assume InDs global color framework has to be rebooted. Only way to, lets say, let a gradient run into transparency, is the use of the effect pallette.

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedThat script is really sweet! The report text-files are really helpful catching broken links and overset text. Only one thing: Is the overset-text-check really neccessary? In my datamerge-file, the column-name is longer than the actual values, so that I had to alter the text-box size, but no wig whoop.
NEU! supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedThere are scripts and plugins available for this task, but I like it to be build in. Also I needed an option to create single InDesign-documents for each data merged, instead of a giant big file which I have to plit.

The ability to find colors in documents in now available in InDesign’s latest release 16.0.
It can be found in a new tab of Find/Change dialog – Color.
Please let us know your feedback in comments.Regards,
Abhinav Kaushik (AK)An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commented1. As a team working on documents, handing them around and giving them to 3rd-party-finalizing, we want to ensure none color gets deleted by cosolidation and exchanged by a color that was left in the document and is quite similar to the color they want to exchange, resulting in selecting the wrong color for replacement.
Also, I want a clean color list, and I get a doc with 500+ links .eps and .ai. Try to find out, which eps/ai "brings" in that color…would be nice for InD to answer this.2.) Yes it does. But that color I want to get rid off/exchange is used, eg in a image box background. I could not see that by just skimming the doc, but I could find it by Find/Attributes, but I have to know where it was used.
3.) I get a document to work further on. There are some nearly-similar blue tones. What a mess, they all should be on blue. Find unused: All used. Hmpf. Find color? Not possible with InD CC 2018.
An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedOpen up the Find-Window (cmd+f), then choose Object, then specify the search-attributes down low (just select a fill or stroke).

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedNah. Im a bit on Xpress side here: It was great to differ images and assets by preferences. If I want to place an .ai-logo, we have them in another folder, i could predifne that. But that wasnt too powerful, because Xpress didnt differed betweeen filetypes.
So I had me a workaround with 3 scripts doing this, defaulding specific paths upon use.
Another bummer: You wont get to choose import options.#target Indesign
try{
var pathToPredefinedFolder = Folder('/Volumes/srvmar101_01/');
app.place(pathToPredefinedFolder.openDlg ('Choose files…', '*.*', true))}
catch (e){} -

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedI think ObjectLayerOptions needs an overhaul!
Its not scriptable, and it only caters the core ability of the PS-feature, that allows to switch visibility of the layers. Positioning and blend modes are swept under the rug.
Pls Adobe, revisit that feature.NEU! supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedRudolf, I think youre wrong: ObjectLayerOptions are accessed via the object menu, not the layer window. I just checked: You cant select both images and edit the ObjectLayerOptions, even if theyre the same.
I guess, its just a little UI comfort the OP asks for. -

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedAwesome idea! I have a black imprint with adresses into an offset-printed 4c document, to save money. As a visualization I kkep the page of the document (that will get the imprint) on the master page.
But this document is full of broken links (400+) which will be fixed in a later step. So each time I open up my simple 3 page doc, InDesign tries to check all the links of the entire imported document, rather that the singe imported page, which consumes up to 5 inutes each time I open the doc. -

An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commentedBastian Saris is right. But I undertand the poster to have this feature also extend to e.g. Printing. Where is the problem: While the postscript-pdf-background-task is keeping a hidden plain file, which is unchanged while I start to alter the current document. This could be true to printing, and continue working.

Thanks for this suggestion. I need a little more information in trying to understand this request a bit more:
1. Is the situation that you have created a design already or have an existing design and now need to change the page size. Any description on why you need to change the page would be helpful.
2. How drastic is the page size change. Is it just a minor change or is it something like changing from portrait mode to landscape.
3. Please share links to any screenshot of the document where you recently needed this feature. This would help us better understand this request.An error occurred while saving the comment NEU! commented1. we print in different countries with different partners. While the final products dimensions in germany are 180x300, its different for austria with 225 x 300 mm.
2. even if you think 45 mm difference isnt much to care about, its becomes very painful adjust by hand, if you dont run any liquid layout features.
3. so I decide to go page by page with the Page-tool, which has the anchor points feature. I e.g. choose the gain from the middle-right/middle-left with 2-facing-page-layout.
Sometimes a document is better to adjust at the bottom or the top. -
