WordsFlow
When deciding against using WordsFlow plugin by EmSoftware, not renewing from trial license, it continued not only to be on the main FILE menu but it also is preventing normal (InDesign) placing of graphic files into InDesign files by a popup window asking for license renewal information. If I cancel that window, it cancels the PLACE... operation. In other words, WordsFlow does not extricate itself from the program even if no longer using and registered AND after uninstalling from the Windows APP utility, BUT it continues to interfere with normal InDesign operation.

BUG: nothing shows when first opening a file until you click on the page
Newer small bug but updates have not fixed this. When opening a file, especially a placed indd file inside a indd file, the page is blank until you click on the page. Not a huge issue but very strange as some may just sit there and wait without clicking.

Menu bar gets stuck - Indesign on M1 Pro mac
On a regular basis the pull down menus in Indesign will stop reacting properly: Clicking menu item will select the topic (screenshot 1), but not pull down the menu. A second click AND hold will pull down the menu, but all the sub-menus remain unavailable, they will not pull out. The issue is persisent: Restarting Indesign does not fix it once it starts occuring, but restarting the computer will fix it. The issue may be OS related, but it only occurs in Indesign, and only on my M1 Pro computer, not my older Intel mac.

Spinning Beach Ball appears every time I try to highlight text
- InDesign 18.0
- Seems just clicking with the Text Tool gets a spinning ball. Even worse if I try to highlight after clicking. 30-60 second wait. 3, Expect to highlight text as in the past.
- Once the ball stops spinning, maybe one character has been highlighted.
Troubleshooting steps:
Tried resetting preferences. No change.
Checked for corrupted fonts and removed. No change. (I'm using fonts from TypeKit, which don't appear to be installed in FontBook.)
Uninstalled InDesign. Shut down computer. Reinstalled InDesign.
Checked for corrupted file. (Saved copy. No change. Saved to imdl. No change.)

Paragraph panel very slow to open
InDesign v. 18.0 / working on Macbook Pro, macOS Ventura 13.0.1
Help! When I click on the Paragraph tools panel, it takes about 3 seconds for it to open. Other panels (characters, styles, swatches, etc.) open immediately.
This is a new issue with this version of InDesign. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Ventura Indesign file not found
I have a number of files when I double click them to open, I get an error saying "<file name> not found. If I make a copy of the file, I can then open it. I don't know it that's an InDesign issue or a Ventura issue.
Running an Apple M1 Max, with Ventura 13.2.1, and Indesign 18.1

InDesign 18.0 (2023): still having issue where certain weights of fonts won't load/work (other weights/styles in the family do work).
The only way I've been able to solve this is to revert to version 17.1 (had same issue with 17.2).

InDesign panels do not expand or open when Application frame is Off
This problem has happened before and now its back in version 17.4 you click custom panels and nothing happens, you can only switch them in 'Application Frame' mode

"Paste into" not working in Layout Split View
When the layout view is split and you copy something and try to "Paste into", the option doesn't appear. You have to exit split view and toggle it again so it works.

InDesign 2023 Find/Replace is broken
In InDesign 2023 Find/Replace, page views don't update correctly with subsequent Find or Find/Change clicks and I couldn't see where I was. This only happened on my 2012 mac mini. On a 2013 model that I use at work, it worked fine. I had to go back to the previous version on both computers so they'd be able to open the same files.

Can't Copy Paste Textblocks from v2022 to v2023

Buttons do not work in Indesign
Certain buttons aren't working in Indesign. E.g. I can't click into the preflight panel, or the pop-up comes up for a millisecond, too fast for me to click into it. This is happening with the Preflight panel, the 'align to' button in the Alignment panel, and other toggles like it. Incredibly frustrating. I've tried restarting but the issue persists.

Opening a file with missing fonts freezes InDesign
Opening a file that has missing fonts freezes InDesign for a minute or so. Every document with missing fonts does this. If I manually activate the font and then try opening the same document again, there is no freeze.
InDesign 17.2.1, macOS Monterey (latest)
My coworker is on Catalina and has the same freeze too.8 votesFix for this issue is now available in the latest release of InDesign 2022 - that is, InDesign 17.4 version.
Please update to this version to get the fix.

Don't provide the GPU Performance menu for Windows
It's outrageous that a giant corporation doesn't have support to GPU Performance for windows, when we sign the creative cloud plan doesn't shows that works differently in each operational system. Please, develop this functionality as soon as possible!!

.idlk files not recognized/ignored when .indd files are in a Dropbox directory
InDesign 2023 v18.00
.idlk files are not recognized when working from a shared Dropbox folder. This issue appears to be very extensive and well documented. While I understand the many different use cases (synced/not synced, not connected to the internet, etc..) It would just make sense for InDesign to check for .idlk files within Dropbox directories and let Dropbox/Users figure out the potenetial for syncing errors and find a solution when those issues arise.This causes very frustrating issues for collaborative teams.

InDesign 2023 18.0 x64 with too much CPU in idle
InDesign 2023 18.0 x64 is consuming too much CPU in idle, without any file open.
System: Windows 10 Pro 2H22 x64, SO 19045.2130, Workstation Dell Precision Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2603 v2 @ 1.80GHz, 16 GB RAM.

InDesign 2023 18.0 /Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe InDesign/Version 18.0/en_US/InDesign Recovery/ filling up with DBTmp files
We have an automated process using InDesign to export the XML out of a .indd files. We are experiencing a scenario where InDesign is leaving behind numerous DBTmp files in /Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe InDesign/Version 18.0/en_US/InDesign Recovery/ to the point that our Mac is filling up a 500 Gig SSD. These files do not clean up after Quitting InDesign, a Reboot, attempting the Reset InDesign Preferences Shift-Control-Option-Command startup of InDesign. These files are also locked. As in the title, Bug: Open preferences. Hide indesign. Can't dismiss preferences. This is reproducible.
