Undo Not Working properly in InDesign 2020
InDesign CC 2020 Undo goes back to last saved version. It does not go back one step with Command-Z. Therefore, I lose all edits made since last save. It also crashes frequently
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – that is, InDesign 15.0.2.
Please update your InDesign application to get this fix.

It seems to be a random behaviour. I had to install CC 2019 and finish my work with it. After that, I've been using CC 2020 for a few days and it hasn't happened again...

Same here. Freezes on undo. Comes right after about 45 seconds. Have reset prefs. No change. It's been doing it for last 2 updates. Really annoying... No fixes

I'm not able to replicate this. I have ID 2020 (15.0) running on Mojave (14.6). It sounds like something in your system is confusing Edit > Undo with File > Revert...?

@fsm: Thank you for your response, I'll continue using CC2019 until here's a fix.

@ Thorsten Rösch-Allgeier: Regarding „Full disk access“, since at least one user encounters the problem under 10.13.x it seems unlikely to be the culprit (full disk access was introduced in 10.14 iirc).

Happens to a colleague of mine (macOS 10.14.6) in most, but not all documents (and not all the time).

Same here. I make a few changes to a file, then try to undo and it jumps back to the previously saved version. I'm unable to work.

This is happening to me too and it is incredibly frustrating! Happened for the first time this morning using InDesign CC 2020. I installed and began using the 2020 version last week without issue. However this morning after pasting some text and moving it around with the arrow keys, I hit ctrl + z to undo and it went way back in changes I have made in my document. I then remade the changes and saved my document so I would not lose that bit of work if it happened again. This did happen again so I closed and reopened my document to find apparently I did not save it at that stage (?? sure I did save it ??) and lost that work yet again.
This is a huge problem, using ctrl + z to undo is an action that I do without thinking and I am sure that is the same for a petty much everyone else that uses the program!

This bug keeps showing up, inexplicably.
Sometimes restarting the program helps other times it doesn't.This is costing HOURS of time during a very busy season. It happens frequently and every time it does, I have to restart the program, go back and find the point where the edits were lost, recheck the ones that were made, and redo the ones that were lost — in addition to the loss of valuable time, all of this back and forth only increases the potential for a costly error if I miss a lost edit.
Please fix this FAST.

Not only Ctrl + Z stopped working properly, but now I cannot save the file I'm working on. What's happening with the 2020 update?
When I close the file then a prompt appears to save the file, but I can't anyway.
Only way is to Export to idml...

Incredibly annoying, and it's making me lose a lot of time: I have to save constantly to avoid losing hours of work because of a unexpected undo bug. Please fix it.
I'm using Windows 10, and it happens randomly when pressing Ctrl + Z.
