This appears to have fixed the issue. I am continuing to test. However I am finding that when I reopen InDesign it does not preserve my window settings which can be highly frustrating. I have custom workspaces saved and it seems to default at times back to 'Essentials'.

The other issue is that after installing the Beta, I found last night that the CC Installation Manager had a new download of InDesign, but it wasn't an update, rather it stated 'Install'. I did this and it reverted to the shipping version which lost my custom workspaces. I then reinstalled the Beta and as stated upon reopening I still have my custom workspaces but they do not open after closing Indesign and opening a new session again. Once I begin the new session I must chose my desired workspace. Please fix. Thank you.

11/2/18 - I am still getting the blank control panel after re-install, clearing cache, etc. I'm not the admin of our account so I don't want to download the new build referred to in this thread by admin Ravi Kiran. I know that it's a big question, but when do you believe that this issue will be fixed?

I've been using IDD heavily for about 3 hours since installing your fix. No problems so far.

Removed the file: "InDesign SavedData" from:

/Library/caches/Adobe InDesign/Version 13.0/en_NL/InDesign SavedData

The Version 13.0 file still there in the Library...

See if it works... holds...?

Well... I need the box to be free floating... not on top of my screen.
I don't have my garage tools hanging on the ceiling, while working underneith my hobby car... :-)

clearing the cache only works temporarily... it disappears again shortly after.

I'm getting the same problem. Clearing the folder cache works but after a short time the control panel is blank again.
Several times a day I have to interrupt my work. It costs too much time and it realy worries. Can I go back to cc 18?

Please fix this as if the control panel is not docked this fix does not work consistently. This is a serious bug.

when I use the tool bar in floating mode tools tend to disapear after a while ...
when using the toolbar attached to the menu bar this does not happen

I am using the nlatest InDesign version

Nope! It does not help to resave this personal preference!

Fortunately, no one else in our production department (5 people) is having the problem. And neither is my laptop. It's just my big iMac ... which is, of course, the one I need most.

The fix offered by Mr. Kaushik last about 15 minutes, and then the bar went blank again.

This is making extremely difficult for me to meet my layout deadlines.

So I resaved my preferred setting of the panes... see if that works...
