1. Insering Anchroed text frame object shifts the vowels on referenced Arabic/Persian/Urdu text frame

   Hello there,

   We have only noticed this problem while dealing with Arabic/Persian/Urdu text (regardless of the fonts used). English text works just fine.

   When anchored framed is inserted, the vowels in the Arabic/Persian/Urdu text and sometime evens the characters in the text shift. The foreign text is typically perfectly fine prior to inserting the anchored object however changes. See before and after examples:

2. Endnote Links Not Functioning When Published Online

   I have a complex document (725 pages across 15 chapters) in which each chapter contains between 75 and 300 endnotes that I imported from the most current version of MS Word into InDesign 2021 (v. 16.4 x64). When I export a chapter as a PDF, everything works reasonably well (although links between in-text endnote numbers and endnote references simply jump between applicable page numbers, rather than to the notes themselves, but I can live with that). But when I publish a chapter or the whole online, only the bookmarks from the InDesign TOC feature work. The links between endnote numbers in text and their corresponding references in the endnotes do not work at all. Clicking on the blue text does nothing. Is this a known bug when publishing online? Is there a work-around?

3. Tiff alpha channel not working

   A Tiff exported with Alpha channel from Solid Works do not support the transparency. It works ok when opened with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Also working fine in Affinity Photo, Pixelmator Pro, Mac OS Preview and Mac OS Finder.

4. Fonts' OpenType features not working in Composite fonts in InDesign

   When using any Hebrew font in InDesign, the diacritics (nikuds) are displayed in their correct location. This location is set within the fonts by using OpenType features such as ccmp (for glyph substitution) and mark (for glyph positioning). InDesign recognizes and applies these features.

   When this font is used as part of a Composite font in InDesign, the result is quite different. It seems like the ccmp feature is honored but the mark feature is not.

   The diacritics shift and the length of the text increases. Some of this fluctuation can be mitigated by Diacritics Position feature in InDesign however this feature only works on a paragraph level and applies the correction to ALL diacritics uniformly whereas the whole point of the OpenType feature is to adjust diacritics on a character level.

5. Kashida and Diacritical Positioning dialogue boxes not available

   With Arabic language selected in Creative Cloud preferences, and InDesign reinstalled, the Arabic language support character functions are still not available. RTL and LTR function also not available but text shows up correctly. Need Kashida character function desperately. Please rectify. Thanks

6. Kashida and Diacritical Positioning dialogues no longer available

   Hi InDesign team, I do not have the Arabic language support dialogues available any longer on M1 Mac which where available to me on Intel previously. Specifically, my Kashida dialogue in Character menu, and Diacritical Positioning also are not available. Please rectify this.

7. publish online mobile

   InDesign 16.4

   When i publish a document using 'publish online' it doesn't work correctly on mobile. When you first load it up on mobile the navigation bar at the bottom is there, but if you click anything on the page the navigation bar disappears. This then means you can't navigate through the rest of the brochure.

   I've tried this on multiple mobile browsers including Chrome, Edge & Brave and the same happens on each.

   This is a major issue for us as a lot of people will want to view this document on mobile.

   When i publish a document using 'publish online' it doesn't work correctly on mobile. 13. Panel adjustment arrows do not stay, they just blink and gone.

    Using 16.4 in Mac 11.6. Cannot slide panels in Application Frame mode. The arrows blink but go off quickly. If you're quick it works but not like it used to be.

14. PDF Export causing font/item misalignment

    InDesign 16.2.1 x64
    There seems to be an issue caused by Exporting PDFs created by Steinberg Dorico. The expected result can be seen in the file:

    Hancock - Organ Album AJ - Toccata PDF from Dorico no issues

    look at measures 25 and 31 for comparision to

    Hancock - Organ Album AJ - Toccata PDF from inDesign issues

    there is a clear misalignment of stems with noteheads and tails. This only happens when you Export out of inDesign, the PDF created by Dorico is as it should be.
    Any idea why this is happening and can you do anything about it?

16. Fonts not copying when packaging a file

    I've been having issues ever since the update of InDesign 16.4. The issues have been fonts copying over when packaging a file. It's on all computers MacBook (personal) and two iMacs (work). Projects have been different but have same issue. So far I've only gone the manual route to retrieve the fonts but main problem is still ongoing. The fonts aren't from type kit or have certain permission restraints. These are purely installed fonts that I've had zero issues in the past been using them for the past 2yrs and ever since the update they no longer copy over. So I'm not too certain as to why I keep having the packaging error of copying the fonts.

    when anchored objects (such as column Text or line numbers) are anchored in a Text using the options "Paragraph border" and "paragraph Shading" the borders and Shades will "randomly" disappear, or new border-lines will appear (when more then one paragraphs are merged, the lines always appear between the different styles, even though they work fine again when the object is de-anchored). Sometimes the appearance doesn't change when an object is anchored, but when the anchored object is edited (for example, when the size of the anchored object is changed).

    This is reproducable on my Windows 10, using InDesign 15.1.4.
    Steps:
    - create a new document
    - create a paragraph styles using paragraph borders/ paragraph shading
    - create 1 or 2 more styles, based on the previously defined style
    - create an object-style using "benutzerdefiert" (individual?) - positioning
    - anchor 2 or 3 objects using this object-style in the shaded text/ the text with borders

    expected result:
    the paragraph border/ paragraph shading does not change, but looks just like I defined it to look

    actual result:
    - the appearance of the paragraph changes, and that also affects the PDF.

    The problem also sometimes appears when an object is anchored in a text using Paragraph border/ shading, when text anywhere else in the same story is edited.
