Kontur aussen ausrichten
Kontur aussen ausrichten stimmt nicht. Kontur soll ausserhalb des Bildrahmens sein, ist es aber nicht. ist momentan wie Kontur innen ausrichten, nur dass es den Bildrahmen automatisch vergrössert. ich möchte jedoch den Bildrahmen am Dokumentenrahmen andocken und dass die Kontur dementsprechend ausserhalb des Dokumentes ist.

Problem with Picture Moving / InDesign 2019/14.01
With Indesign 14.01 have problems when I move a picture.
Is there distortion up to 30 sec.
Document has 120 page. Picture setting is "Normal" preview

GREP: Repetition (*, +) at the end of a Positive Lookbehind group doesn't seem to work
Product: Adobe InDesign CC 2019 (14.01)
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a document with the text "abcde"
- (Case 1) Do a GREP search for "(?<=bc+)d"
- (Case 1) Do a GREP search for "(?<=bc*)d"Expected result: highlight the "d"
Actual result: Cannot find match.
Note that searching for "(?<=bc)d" does work, as do of course "(?<b)c*d" and "(?=b)c+d".
Note also that this applied to GREP Styles in a paragraph style.

Unable to update to latest InDesign version
I am trying to open an organizational chart file that was last edited 2 months ago on InDesign 13.1, but I get a prompt that the file was created in 14.0 so I need to convert it.
In the Creative Cloud desktop app, there are no available updates for me to install, so I am stuck with converting the file and having to manually re-link the 20 profile pictures in the document. I would rather just update the InDesign version to be able to properly open and edit the file, if that was actually the issue.

cannot save again if file is moved whilst file is open - 2019 Indesign CC
I moved my working folder to another drive as quickly needed space. I accidentally didn't close my file in InDesign before doing this... kept working on the file then went to save it to new location... But it won't let me.
Says file is missing from original location... put it back (which I tried but didn't work) So I had to export as idml to save it... Never encountered this in previous releases please fix.1 vote -
FileInfo
File Info dialog box is not displayed when selecting File > File Info. The dialog is active but is somewhere off screen. (OS is OS X/High Sierra.)
This problem has existed for some time; in previous versions the problem was solved by deleting the file "DVADialogPrefs.xml" but this file no longer exists.

If a Word file has an Index built within it, InDesign can only see it if it is a .doc file. This is a bug with CC2019-CC2014 and earlier. If you import the .docx file there are no index entries in the index panel, but there are if the file is converted to .doc.
The only way you can use a .docx file is to open it in Word and then cut and paste all the Word file text into InDesign. This way InDesign sees the Index, but I would not want to import this way, so I convert to…1 vote -
Library windows when opening and closing documents
When I open a document, a "Sample Buttons and Forms," library window opens, covering up menus, even though I do not have libraries set to display. Likewise, when I close the document, a different (in this case, locally created, window appears). Always the same windows. See screenshots. It's annoying to have to close these windows every time.

Indesign duplicates when I click and drag on anything, and it won't stop
Whenever I hold click and drag something Indesign creates a copy. It's almost like the Alt button is held down but it's not. I've removed the keyboard and it still does it. I've updated the software and it still happens. I've tried multiple restarts but no luck. I even uninstalled and ran an install but still no fix. Does anyone know why this is happening? It's not happening on any other Adobe software, just Indesign. I'm working on the latest version.

how about a new idea on policy: Don't leave developers to hang out to dry when the Developer has a ligitiment gripe about the Indesign SDK
I AM not happy here, pleas give me something to try at least the bloody BOOST in the indesign 2019 b130 SDK does not compile with any plugin on Win10 sv2017
To be specific it has to do with std::unaryfunction and std::Binaryfunction primarily which was taken out of the std:: library for c++11 and to conform with the current standard. I cannot figure out how to get around this error among many others. At least tell me what you want to help me help you help me. Come' on1 vote -
how about an Indesign 2019 SDK version that has examples that build w/o error in Windows 10 using vs2017
I don't know if I am using the correct SDK for Windows how can I get the correct SDK, I know it is not an idea but a request for information, the idea is publish correct information for plugin developers on how to build plugins on the Win10 platform using VS2017 which if I am not mistaken is listed in the requirements

Open Type unavailable
I have the most recent upgrade to CC InDesign. A new problem just came up. Properties panel shows no problems but open type properties are not available msg appears on all newly input type, which displays at 1/10 size. I did a re-install, but it did not change. This has halted my work!

2 votesIt looks like you may be trying to open files that are shown on the Start screen but are unable to do so.
Please check that the file(s) actually exist at the same location as when they were previously opened/created. If they have been deleted/moved/renamed, etc., the Start screen will continue to show their thumbnails but you won’t be able to open them.
Let us know if this is not the case.

Well, I can't seem to get my plugin to build w/o errors in the adobe boost library, would like explicit recipe to setup vs 2017 environment to build w/o errors.

I can't sync fonts on indesign from Adobe Fonts. Nothing works. Tried everything.

6 votesWe’ve seen this issue happen when you have the same Font already installed on your machine.
So you may try going to where your Fonts are installed on Windows machine – (Control panel > Fonts) and uninstall/remove the Fonts that you are unable to Sync from Adobe Fonts.
Hopefully, the problem should get resolved.

Incopy 2019 cannot open icap file created by ID 2019
.icap files created with ID 2019 cannot be opened with IC 2019 with error message „An error occured while opening the file.“ Tested on Mac OS X 10.12.6.
12 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

InDesign Fonts folder no longer respects symlinks (2019, Mac)
The Fonts folder in the InDesign 2019 application folder no longer follows symlinks, as previous versions did.
I prefer to keep my InDesign fonts separate from my system fonts, and in previous versions placed a symlink to my font folder in the InDesign application folder, titled "Fonts." InDesign would follow that link, and I would have access to all of my fonts within InDesign, without needing to install them user- or system-wide.
In InDesign 2019, no symlinks are followed - not on the top level, and not inside the folder either. (Tested by symlinking one font or one folder inside…

Strange black window in InDesign CC 14.0
There is a strange bug since my latest upgrade to 14.0. Each time I import an image into a frame (cmd D) it appears a black window. Very annoying. Now way to get rid of it except shutting everything down, quitting InDesign and restarting. What's wrong?

.ai imported file bounding box turns solid black when printed. The previous version of ID left me choose "the printer determines colors" under Color Handling. After the recent upgrade that selection is no longer available.
