After adjusting a link and renewing it, indesign fits automatically fits it to frame
I did notice that the link options weren't turned on properly but i turned them on and the result was the same.
Also figured it might have to to with the auto-fit option but i double checked and it's not turned on... this is super annoying. I'm honestly afraid that it'll juggle everything about when i make a minor change.....1 vote -
Rounded corners aren't perfectly rounded
Why aren't rounded corners perfectly rounded? I created a 100x100px square, rounded the corners to 50px which should give me a perfect circle except it doesn't.

'Move Pages' causes the position of content to shift to the right on right-side pages, master same for both files
'Move Pages' causes the position of content to shift to the right on right-side pages, even though the master pages are the same for both files.
I am trying to take several page sets and combine them in one file, but I have to manually fix them after moving the pages over. Very concerning as I'm not sure if anything else is breaking or getting lost in the move.

Curves from Illustrator are straight lines in InDesign but fine when exported to PDF
I have a graphic that I've created in Illustrator that one of the curves displays as straight lines when viewed in InDesign. Export it to PDF and it displays as it should. The grey circle that this element sits on renders correctly in both. We have had this on files in the past. Any ideas?

InCopy assignment names don't change with file name
Backstory:
We have particularly formatted files that we use to create new versions for new products. The copy isn't created new, but modified from the old version that was already used in InCopy. The Issue:
My InCopy guy FREAKS OUT when he sees the name of the assignment assets (attached screenshot) are that of a previous project not at all related to the file he's currently working on.The Long and Complicated Solutions:
I know there's a way in InCopy to rename these, but it's long, complicated and outside of a standard workflow. A shorter and easier method would be…3 votes -
Auto-Fit tick box does not work and has no effect when placing images into a Frame or Rectangle
I am using InDesign CC 2018 V13.1. In previous versions the Auto-Fit tick box worked just fine. With CC 2018 it does not. When placing an image into a Frame or Rectangle, ticking the Auto-Fit tick box has no effect. The image is placed into the box at full size. I then have to resize the image manually or using the Fit Content To frame button. I teach InDesign at Cambridge University and this missing feature is confusing for beginners. Please let me now how to rectify this issue.

Image tagged with sRGB, but InDesign assigns AdobeRGB (Workspace) and displays incorrect colors
I´m using Indesign 13.0.1 x64
To recreate please use the following steps (I have AdobeRGB as Working-space and preserve profiles):
1. Create a new document
2. Place the attached Image "Portrait_Edip-original.jpg"
3. Look for the Profile in the links-panelThe image has sRGB but displays as Workspace RGB but my workspace is AdobeRGB and also the colors are incorrect.
Bridge and Photoshop both show the right profile.
When i open the image in Photoshop and save it as jpeg it works in InDesign.I have this issue from time to time but now i´m sure it´s a bug.
I work…

Object Style Size and Frame Fitting bug
Where is what I did:
Create an Object style that has the size height and width set (I used 4x3in) AND the Frame Fitting Options set (I tried Fill Frame Proportionally with and without Auto-Fit). Import some photos. I did 4 at once and click-&-dragged them at different sizes. Frame size is correct, but frame fitting is ignored. It has to be applied manually after placement.7 votesThe issue has been fixed in InDesign 14.0.1

Placing illustrator files is very very very slow after update
After updating AI and INDD, placing AI files into INDD is taking a very long time. I made an update to an AI file that was placed into an existing INDD files that contains 13 placed AI files. I only updated a few of the linked AI files. Prior to the AI and INDD update, updating these placed links took a few seconds each max. Now, just to update the two links takes about 2 minutes.
This MAY be an AI bug, but I don't know how make that determination as I updated bothat the same time.

Identical shapes on different layers end up different sizes when scaled together using the selection tool
1) This bug occurred on InDesign cc2017 and CS6. 2) Follow these steps to replicate the bug: create a shape, let's say a circle, and then copy this circle and paste it in a separate layer directly over the top of the first. To better see the effects of the bug, make the fill of the top circle red, and the bottom blue. At this point, the bottom blue circle is completely hidden by the red circle above it. Now put a 4pt stroke with an outside alignment on the bottom blue circle. The blue circle is still hidden, and…

Links from CC Library suddely missing and can't be relinked
I sometimes have a problem with links from the CC Libraries, the links work fine when I save and close the file. But then sometimes when I open the INDD-file the day after it says that the links are missing, and when I try to relink it just say that "Either the file doesn't excist, you do not have read permissions to it or the file is used in another application".
But none of the options in the dialog box are correct, the files in the library still works fine in other documents. I have no idea how to fix…

Object Layer Options not working using Photoshop files
I've placed the same layered photoshop files into ID three times to show how an animation works. Going to 'Object Layer Options' and clicking 'Keep Visibility Layer Overrides' is meant to keep your selected layers visible, even if the Photoshop is resaved. This no longer works. Once the link updates, all three update to look the same and forget which layers i've told it to show. Why?

Crop to settings not changing from Bounding Box
While placing an image, after choosing Show Import Options, I try to select something other than Bounding Box in the Crop to settings and it won't let me change how it is inserted. I have tried this with both PDFs and AI files, and it is a problem for my coworkers as well who are using 2018. After restarting InDesign, I didn't have the problem anymore.
