Keyboard shortucts for export presets / forget last export format
In a fast-paced, pdf-only workflow, having files remember their last export format is a frustrating hindrance! An option/preference to NOT do that would be great! AND/OR... the ability to add a keyboard shortcut to specific export formats that would override any previous settings would be ideal!!
(Apologies if that's all already doable. If it is, someone please enlighten me!)
Thanks!

Table of contents update
how can I insert the same title to my book's table of contents which I did on two different pages? (table of content is divided into two text frames) Is it possible to do it automatically? I think it's not possible so I propose to add this option to new version of InDesign. It would be great!

Page number more accessible
Could you add a button to the Pages panel to insert the page number? It's the logical place for new users to look.

Adjust font size by half points
It would be really great if the font size under the character menu could be increased or decreased by half points, rather than full points. It's a bit of a pain to have to type in half point values for sizing numerals and all caps.

Please, please add the average horizontal/vertical line between to points to Indesign like Illlustrator has.
being able to make a straight line between two points is so essential. this would make Indesign so much more user friendly.

Please make it possible that we can have a number is paragraphs of text that link to the actual page number that is being referenced.
Please make it possible that we can have a number in paragraphs of text that link to the actual page number that is being referenced. So if the page number is changed, then the numbers in the paragraph should also reflect the changes.

Use the full monitor
I use a 30" monitor. But e.g. the font menu only uses 1/3 of its height. So I have to scroll in a small list. This feels claustrofobic, since there is a lot of room outside the list box.

Filter & Labels in (Object/Character/Paragraph) Style Panels
As in Photoshop's and InDesign's Layer Panel it would be very helpfull to have the option for colored Labels/Flags.
Also, like in Photoshop, a filter/search option on top of the Style Panels would help organizing complex files (newspaper/magazine templates) and speeding up the process.1 vote -
Auto Save and Seamless Crash Recovery
During tight deadlines and rapid delivery cadences, the ability to track down and recover the InDesign file with updates in the event that InDesign crashed is troublesome.
The current process is to track down the document within the path below (link available for more recovery methods) and the probability that all updates are available is in question.
• Mac OS X: Users/[User Name]/Library/Cache/Adobe InDesign/Version[#.0]/InDesign Recovery
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/indesign-document-recovery.html
However, this raises the need to easier more intuitive access to working files if we do in fact need to embrace the inevitability of crash occurrences. If adobe is not enhancing the InDesign product…

Hello,
In Indesign, it would be interesting in the 'text block' to have the option 'Adapt the text to the block'. The option exists for the image block 'to adapt the image to the block proportionally' to adapt this option to the 'text block' would be a saving of time and the possibility to automate a good number of works. For example, to change from A6 to A5 via the linked article system it works great with the image block and not at all with the text block. The only possibility of action with the 'Text block' is to enlarge…

Corners option fill default to 0p
Whenever I create a new text box, I get the default of outline set to 1p. I always forget to change this, and in editing have to go back and remove all these boxes from picturs, etc. This wastes a lot of time. Have not found where I can set this, saving a changed empty doc does not seem to work.

Allow batch renaming of CC Library items
I would like to be able to batch rename items in my CC library. For example search for all items with "_sym" in them and delete that part of the name.

Type and select style from drop down list
Need to type and select the style from the drop down list. Currently we need to find and select the style using mouse scrolling. It will take time when we have lots of paragraph, character styles in InDesign document. Do this for all the drop down list available in InDesign palette. For example, we need to delete a style and replace with another style.

New "Justification Auto-Correct" Feature
Justification, while pleasing to the eye from the perspective of an entire page, creates problems. Hyphenation can correct this, to some degree, but it too has its problems. In the end, when justifying text, certain lines of text end up being scrunched while many others leave wide open spaces between words.
In doing my best to correct for these problems, I tend to make most use of the horizontal scale feature. I often find that most of these visual blemishes (scrunching or overly-wide word spacing) can be corrected by either reducing the horizontal scale down to about 97% (in the…
