Distribute Width
I have two frames side by side, but this is relevant to not just frames. I would like to distribute the widths of these two so that they are both equal width but the total combined width is still the same, and they stay positioned as they are. I thought this would be in the align tools but I have tried many different combinations and cannot achieve this. I have used distribute widths in other programs (MS Word) and it saves so much time not having to manually calculate the widths every time and is of course less error prone. This is of course the simplest possible example, consider if this needs to be done for many objects not just two.

Glyphs reseting
I use "Find/Change > Glyph" to replace some Bulgarian (BGR)/Russian (RUS) glyphs to Macedonian (MK) ones. But, when I ALT click on a altered paragraph style (with + sign next to it) which contains the MK glyphs -- they are reseted to BGR/RUS glyphs.

Please start using the standard path location of files. I'm struggling with data merge handling thousands of images, which I would like to structure. Now I have to place all images within the main project folder, which makes it really messy.
This is not the way it should work, especially as we use this document on several different computer - which would make us change the master data every time we work with it.

Return the ability to place text on top of a photo in InDesign
I've done all the current Adobe CC upgrades (InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator), and Mac OS Catalina, and suddenly I can't place text on top of a photo while working in an InDesign document. It used to be no problem!

Unify font filtering across all relveant dialogues
Give the Paragraph and Character Styles Basic Character Formats dialogue the ability to filter like the Character panel in the Properties window.

When I Publish Online a document, I want to see 1 page of my published Indesign document while my device is in vertical condition and 2 pages while I have it in horizontal state.

The footnote in journal layout
Please add the ability to make the text of the footnote in a separate frame, that would be able to use footnotes in a complex, journal layout. Often there are situations when some text frames, each one has footnotes and the text of these footnotes were at the bottom of the page, separately, and the numbering in turn.

InDesign
I have too many old thumbnail showing in my InDesign screen. Some are useless items, such as drafts, that I saved, but later deleted. The file is deleted, but the thumbnail is still there. I also want to have some thumbnails from 3 years ago, not go searching for them among my files later. Why don't you let us delete thumbnails of deleted files? Why do they even show up, if we deleted the file? This is a bad either/or decision we shouldn't be forced into. It's quite inconvenient. Now I'm afraid to save a draft and and have even more thumbnails I can't get rid of. Am I missing something here, or do you programmers think this is a good idea, to make us have 100 thumbnails? Oh, just use the file folder is your response, but then why even have thumbnails? Because, obviously, because thumbnails are so convenient. But only the ones which we want to use, not a list of all of them, forever, including every draft we saved and have since deleted.

All I got was a bunch of BS from everyone including Beta Testers who could have at Least TRIED to Find out. WELL NEVER MIND You F***s. IT ALL WORKS BEAUTIFULLY WITH CATALINA OFFICIAL RELEASE TODAY. Change spellcheck from one language to another within the same document
The Indesign support team was not able to change the dictionary language within a document and suggested that I wrote to the developer engineers for a change.
They tried different workarounds; Right click the misspelled word and change the language in the dialogue box. Did not apply. Changing the preferences. Did not apply either. Changing the language preferences in Creative Cloud. Did not work that one.

Autotext
Je souhaite utiliser une application qui permet d'écrire automatiquement un texte à partir d'un mot clé, seulement lorsque j'écrit le mot clé dans une zone de texte il est bien identifié par l'application (Autotext) mais ensuite au lieu d'être remplacé par la phrase correspondante, il est seulement effacé et pas remplacé ?
J'ai relevé que cela ne fonctionne pas dans indesign, photoshop, illustrator mais fonctionne dans une note acrobat ou d'autres logiciels non adobe.
Savez vous de quoi cela viendrait et comment le corriger ?

User Interface Ideas for newbies

I think a good change for newer users is to make it to where the user interface is more user-friendly. I don't mean the whole app I just mean certain things. For example, one thing would be, is to make the options panels easier to stick. I didn't know that you had to drag the box to one side of the screen to get it to stick to the app. It took me the whole day to figure this out, otherwise, when you move the InDesign app to another screen those panels get left behind. So either have a little help box when moving the tabs called "sticking problem?" and have a small explanation or have the light blue sticking indicator be triggered inches before you reach the edge of the screen and obviously, you'll have to test it out though.Put the "paragraph style" tab default on the paragraph tab. It's not there when I installed it, so I had to highlight something and in the properties and then I had to click the down arrow and click manage styles and poof there it was.
Another fix is to keep the options bar at the top when under the essential workspace. I would watch tutorials where they had this at the top and would this couldn't figure out how to make it work. An hour later I found a video that told me how to fix it. I'm new to this app but it would make sense that the essential workspace having it and the classic essentials would not but they are a switch. just add the option to the essential workspace that would be my fix. I'm sure there are more improvements but I haven't run into them yet
finally put on all your app, an ok box when either user first installs an or get an updated, stating that there's help for the user. And it would say instead of going to google or youtube that there are adobe cloud tutorials ready to go just for the user. :D. I didn't know this until I called customer support to help me with an issue.

Relink already placed images with new images
When I tried to relink an already placed JPG in my InDesign CC 2019 file with a larger version of the same graphic with another file name, the Links panel showed the new file name and the new graphic size, but the placed image in my InDesign file remained the same.
For example, the original graphic was 1" wide and the new graphic was 3" wide. When I relinked the 1" graphic to the 3" graphic file, the image in my InDesign file still showed the graphic as 1" wide even though the Link Info showed the new file name and the new graphic size.
This means that I have to re-place the entire image and redo all of the "effects" connected to that image, which is a lot of work in a book with many images!

Stop auto pushing clients into Bridge
Bridge to me feels like a piece of software I don't actually need.
Would it be possible to either:
- Add the ability to block Bridge from auto installing
- Add the ability to remove and or change the short cute that initiates Bridge from downloading and opening, as its only one key away from outline text.
