  1. One-click export profiles

    I have to export documents with same content but different header/footer versions for different customers. I'm doing by manually switching master pages. This is not part of the export procedure, but still time consuming enough.
    When exporting, it would be nice to have one or mutliple one-click export profiles, like when you need a PDF for web publishing in 150dpi and passworded and another PDF for print in 300dpi, not passworded. My wish: Indesign shall store all settings for an export profile (including password, which it doesn't) and make them avilable as "Save as PDF from profile" with only a…

  2. Intelligent color bleeding

    Unless I am very wrong there's no option to Authomatically extend colours for the bleeding.

    Of course to print and crop is necessary to add bleed and that involves placing images or extending them out of the margin.
    How is it possible, coming from the company of photoshop, that a function so simple, yet so important is not possible in indesign? It's as easy as extending any color touching the margins of the document to the bleed: copying pixel color information perpendicular to the document.

  4. Search window improvement suggestion

    Hi there, would it be possible to have an option in the search window for colors, fonts(replacements), and styles, etc... to search on a specific number of pages instead of the whole document, article, or selected...? i could use this on a daily basis...

  6. Provide better keyboard support in Story view.

    Provide better keyboard support in Story view. Currently PageUp and PageDn and other scrolling keys don't work, and I am forced to use the mouse for long-distance scrolling.

  7. Help-Acrobat is terrible on my Mac

    I upgraded to High Sierra and now realize the Adobe Acrobat has made my Mac
    more like a PC. I cant easily send or attach pdfs.I rarely complain but I want my Mac back and am not going to rest until I get it back.This is a huge disappointment and so unlike Apple.

  12. Open a new file and see the full page upon opening

    When you open a document, the upper left corner should appear in the upper left corner of the window. Then you won't have to scroll to see the page. Currently it opens on the pasteboard with the upper left corner in the middle of the window so it's mostly hidden.

    So annoying. I hope you can fix it.

  13. Mute ruler contrast to reduce UI clutter

    Just a small idea, but would it be possible to reduce the contrast in the ruler markings slightly. There's a lot going on in the ID UI and reducing the contrast of the ruler markings to remain in the window's inactive state color - light gray - even when in active state greatly reduces the amount of noise onscreen. Would also make the dashed cursor position indicators easier to spot (currently they're impossible to see amidst the high contrast markings).

  14. Vertical Justification in InDesign CC

    We'd like to include smart Vertical Justification (VJ) feature in InDesign without disturbing the leading spaces. VJ feature to be enhanced with many customized rules such as adjust the style above spaces, avoiding space adjustments between the particular styles, creating lines to adjust the base alignments at the end of each page and the facing pages.

    I would like to track status of reported issues (bug + new features)
    searchability:
    - id: ID-4204327
    - and free text

    I would like to get information about
    - status (regstered or planned, in progress, ready, rejected)
    - link to issue
    - on the page of issue

    - if resolved
    - how work it
    - in wich version is solved
    - if not solved
    - in wich version plnned

    Now we (users, developers) have no information about anything

  19. Quick key and/or eyedropper tool option for ALL CAPS and lowercase in inDesign

    Having to use dropdown menu (and noting conspicuously absent quick key notation) is so tedious when you have to do this 100 times

  20. Implement Funktion "Start-Stop-Pinging"

    While working in a LAN (2ms Ping) or WAN (20ms Ping) with linked content on exhouse Servers, InDesign is getting very very slow.
    Reason is the permanent pinging to the linked files "R U still alive?" which the user cannot stop.

    It would save hours of time and tons of nerves each week, if user could easily switch-on and switch-off the ping manually - e.g. like the preflight. While saving, printing or exporting the file the ping should be activated automatically, to inform the user about any changes.
