View multiple CC Libraries at the same time in InDesign
It would be very helpful to be able to view more than 1 CC Library panel at a time within the InDesign workspace. For instance, my company has a library for our brand elements (colors, fonts, logos, etc) and then multiple other libraries for various uses. I'd like to be able to have at least 2 open simultaneously rather than switching back and forth.

Include original INDD filename in metadata on PDF export
Include original INDD filename in metadata on PDF export.
I often get PDFs from clients, usually well after a job has been completed, where they want to update it, or base a new document on the PDF. Some clients, no matter how many times you tell them not to, change the name of the PDF file, making it a little more difficult to find the source file. Or a new client will send me a PDF that I did not create... then I have to ask for the source file, and of course you get "deer in the headlights eyes".…

Automatic back-linking to endnote source in text
At the moment, endnotes in exported pdfs are hyperlinked to the endnote page, but there is no "round-trip" backlink from the endnote entry number back to the point of origin in text - as there is in exported epub documents.
This would be a very useful feature!2 votes -
Find/Replace working with number series
I am working with a document containing thousands of serial numbers. I want to insert a hyphen i the middle of each number using "find and replace"
The challenge is to replace all serial numbers in the document that look like this: Mxxxxxxxxxx with this Mxxxx-xxxxxx
Using find/replace with jokers, i am able to find all serial numbers that i want to change. M^9^9^9^9 but when i want to replace them and insert a – by typing this, M^9^9^9^9–, the old numbers disappear.
It results in the following example:
M6015803710 ––> M^9^9^9^9-803710
Instead of:
M6015803710 ––> M6015-803710Thanks!

Improvements to the publish online platform
It would be interesting to improve the "Publish Online" platform, such as adding options to flip the pages of digital files in interactive pdf. Add visualization options by region in Analytics. Making it easier for the developer and users.
And also add resources for ebooks.
And also organization options. As creating folders, it would help a lot.1 vote -
Asset Link: Lower asset update time
We would like to lower the asset update time. Actually, I needs 3 minutes for wait before asset link is recognizing an asset update from AEM Assets (DAM).

Make Scripts Embeddable into InDesign Documents
It would be great, scripts could be embedded into InDesign documents, so any user working with the document could execute the embedded script for this document.
These embedded scripts show up in the scripts panel in their own area, next to the other areas "application", "user", "community" –> "embedded"..
The script itself should optionally be protectable with a password and be saved in JSBIN format, so it’s executable, but could not be changed or extracted by the user.

Page Numbering "Don't Include in Page Numbering" Option
I use INDD for proposals that include covers and tabs. Right now, it's pretty cumbersome to get the cover and tabs to not be included in the page count. Currently, you have to restart the number at a specific interval based on where the tabs are at and change your cover and tabs pages to include a Section Prefix as to not duplicate page numbers, so it's a little tedious. So my first three pages are called A1 A2 and A3...then 1 2...then B3 (for tab 1)...then 3 4 5 etc. Can we just have a "check box" under Numbering…

Do not block Html iframe
Indesign's Publish Online started to block several Html content. The only ones that don't block are from Google, Youtube ..

Create contingent or logical elements in Data Merge
Data Merge already allows omitting empty fields, but I will often have additional text or elements that are contingent on those fields. If would be great to be able to attach other elements to the merge fields logically so they are omitted if the merge field does not exist.
Also, any chance of fixing the <feff> problem? Huge thanks to David Blatner for the find/replace solution, but it would be great to have that resolved.

Show traditional version names in CC Desktop
In the CC Desktop app, when you are looking at Apps and seeing version numbers, it's confusing to users when you see InDesign v16, which is CC2021, or v15, which is 2020. If the labeling could be InDesign 2021 v16.0, it would be less confusing to users. We have a huge number of users in our company and when we make the switch to each new version as a group, people look at v15 and don't know what that means. For InDesign, in particular, we tend to lag a while while our plugins are updated for the newer versions. So…

Please standardize key commands between the Adobe apps, specifically Indesign and Photoshop
type layer commit in PS: Cmd Enter
type layer commit in InDesign: esc
(the above is maddening, since in PS, esc undoes everything in the type layer)scaling images in PS: with latest update, no need to hold Shift to scale proportionately
scaling in Indesign: you must hold Shift to scale proportionatelyI'm sure there are others but these 2 are my personal grievances.

Bring back "PDF already open in Acrobat" alert when trying to export to PDF.
Several versions ago, a dialogue box would alert the user the current PDF is already open in Acrobat and cannot be overwritten. I miss that alert because INDD will work to generate the PDF but if its already open it won't actually update.

Add the nine grid positioning feature when adjusting InDesign document size.
Channeling the canvas size feature in Photoshop here. Would be nice to set the location when changing INDD document sizes when art is already on a page.

Accessibility isn't anything new and when working in and on any creative industry product or campaign it should be considered from the off.
I've received a Published Online PDF from a director who's sent a 27-page document that I need to read but as a dyslexic, I rely on using the 'speech' accessibility function built into my mac to allow myself to read this at a fast pace to keep on track with work and my colleges.
You Publishing Online PDF documents don't allow the functionality for this to happen as you can't highlight the text within the document, a basic function on the most text on a computer and online. I think this should be looked at and I'm a little surprised…
