An error occurred while saving the comment Uwe Laubender commentedHi René,
it's possible with scripting. :-)Hm… I think it would be very handy if we could move objects inside graphic frames e.g. with the Layers panel. The same way we could move frames to groups.

Adobe InDesign teamAn error occurred while saving the comment Uwe Laubender commentedAh. I did not know, that you made an override on the [Basic Text Frame]. Thought, you redefined the [Basic Text Frame] in your CS6 document that was finally opened with CC 2018.
So back to testing: Now I did an override on the [Basic Text Frame] with e.g. 3 columns in CS6, saved and opened the document with CC 2018. Copied the frame, pasted the frame to a new document in CC 2018.Result: The pasted text frame maintained the 3 columns.
So I cannot see the problem. What is your exact version of InDesign CS6?
My configuration:
CS6 8.1.0, CC 2018 13.0.1.207 on Mac OSX 10.11.6 (German)Regards,
UweAn error occurred while saving the comment Uwe Laubender commentedHi there,
that could happen, if the same object style name is used with two documents, but with different definitions in number of columns. When seen with a new document in CC 2018 I guess the basic object style for text frames in CS6 is set to 3 columns. And the one in CC 2018 is not (which is default). So I think, that's no bug.

SVG import has been implemented in InDesign 2020. Please upgrade to this version of InDesign to use this feature.

Adobe InDesign teamUwe Laubender supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Uwe Laubender commentedPlacing and exporting SVG as part of a workflow for e.g. Publish Online would be great. As it is right now arbitrary vector shapes made in InDesign are exported as pixel images to Publish Online. It would be cool, if vector shapes could be exported as vector (SVG!) to a Publish Online document. That would bring down file size and if layouts are zoomed in with a browser the quality of a vector shape remains always 100%.

An error occurred while saving the comment Uwe Laubender commentedHi Armin,
what is you version of InDesign? What OS?
I cannot see this behavior on InDesign CC 2018 for Mac OSX.
Tested with InDesign CC 2018, Mac OSX 10.11.6 (German).Do you export a selection or the whole page?
A workaround would be to export to PDF/X-4, open and render that to pixels with PhotoShop. In one of my tests this gives me the more accurate result. With InDesign's export to JPEG a 100Y and 100K object turned to 99Y and 99K. Not so with rendering an exported PDF.

Do you know that there is a script for this?
See into Marc Autret's ExtendScript (JavaScript) script: CleanupPasteboard.js
