Hello everyone,

In the recently released update (17.1), we had fixed a scenario where text was disappearing while editing.

However, some of you are reporting that this issue is still happening for you, specifically on M1 machines.

We are continuing our investigations & trying to reproduce all the scenarios under which this happens. We are trying our best to find a comprehensive fix for this issue. We are hopeful that we will find one shortly.

Hello All,

Thank you for reporting the issue. Our investigation revealed that the problem manifests in multiple use cases.
We have fixed the issue in some of the use cases and are currently working on the remaining ones.
Please update your InDesign to the latest version, id 14.0.3 to try out the fix.

Hello All,

The fix for this issue is now available in the beta builds of InDesign. You can download the latest beta build from Download section of InDesign Prerelease portal.

1. Go to adobeprerelease.com
2. Log in with your Adobe Id.
3. Once logged in, search for “InDesign CC Prerelease” program in the list.
4. Click on the program to join the same.
5. You can now download the build (14.0.3.422) from “Builds and Plugins” section on the page.
6. The steps for installing the build can be found in the release notes
