"Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text
Description: "Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text
Version: InDesign 2020 (15.0.2. x64)
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.18363 Build 18363)Reproduction:
1. Create a text frame and fill it with any text
2. Create a rectangle on the same page and go to Window -> Effects, and set the rectangle's effect to "Hue"
3. Text on that same page no longer appears anti-aliasedFigured this out while trying to find out why all the text looked so bad. Ended up copying things to a new document (where text wasn't jagged) one by one, and eventually narrowed it down to the hue effect. Might be worth checking other effects for this problem?

Problem with variable fonts letter tracking
Adobe Indesign 15.1.2
There is a problem with letter tracking in variable fonts (please see attached photo)
I've tried two licensed variable fonts and it occurs with all of them
(Myriad Variable & 29lt Bukra Variavle)
I've not changed the default values for letter kerning nor tracking.Expected results: I expect the text to have the correct letter tracking
Actual results: bad letter tracking (please see attached photo)
Test file: screenshot from my indesign.

Indesign to Illustrator die line wrong dimensions
Indesign 15.1.2
At times, when exporting cut paths via PDF from Indesign to Illustrator, the cut paths will come in smaller than they should be. See attached screenshot. Both the red trapezoid and black rectangle say they are 36" x 24" in Indesign. When exported via PDF to Illustrator, the trapezoid is 35.875" x 24" but the rectangle stays true to 36 x 24.
I can see why this is, Indesign isn't reading the true dimensions of the rounded corner object. It's reading them as if it still has "none" applied to the corners. This could cause issues with fit when creating parts that have to fit into exhibits or frames. Please fix? Thanks.Indesign 15.1.2

Adding "Current Page" marker to TOC targeted paragraph doesn't use page numbering format
InDesign 15.1.2
Using "Current Page" in text that will be used for the TOC ignores page numbering. If I start a section on page 5, the TOC shows page 1 even though the "Current Page" on the specified page is correct.1 vote -

Packaging a server-located file fails
Since updating to 15.1.2 I am unable to package a piece of work which is saved on our server - "Indesign cannot access..."
Upon testing, package works fine if the piece of work is saved locally on my mac, but fails for any server based work, which unfortunately is where all of my work is saved. This has happened before on a previous update quite a while ago, but you fixed the issue, so would appreciate it if it could be fixed again. Thanks.1 vote -
Crash when continuing to place text from Word
Hello.
When I try to continue to place text from any Word document Indesign crashes. It actually won't crash by "itself", it just stops working.
I have followed the steps you outlined here: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html#Howtosubmitcrashreports
to submit a crash report. However, since I have to Force quit it I cannot get the report crash dialogue.

To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2023(v18.2.1.455) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

Effects Pallet is constantly disappearing from InDesign
I don't know why, often after a restart of InDesign and sometimes while I'm using it the Effects Pallet disappears and no matter how many times I use the Windows> Effects menu item and it's shortcut Cmd + Shift + F10 I will not appear. It also isn't in the sidebars. I end up having to go through a bunch of preset workspaces until it turns up and then rebuild the workspace.
Big waste of my time.

PDF with Identity-H encoded fonts not rendering in 2020
PDFs with certain Identity-H encoded fonts do not display in InDesign 2020 (Windows, v 15.1.2), but work fine in InDesign 2019.
The issue seems to be font encoding related – InDesign 2020 doesn’t like the Museo Sans 500 (and some other OpenType) fonts being embedded into the PDF using the Identity-H encoding. If the encoding is changed to ANSI encoding, then the PDFs render fine.
Preflighting the PDF shows the problem fonts as Type 0.
Conversion of the PDF using Acrobat to PDF/X appears to rebuild the PDF in such a way as InDesign is able to render it (although it increases the file size from 10Kb to 500Kb)
