Crashing on Windows 11 when putting laptop into Tablet Mode
>>>When InDesign is open with the laptop in desktop mode it works fine. As I have a 2 in 1, I put it into tablet mode but this leads to InDesign to crash, this works vice versa if you boot it up in tablet mode and go to desktop mode.. This is really easy to replicate and all that is required is a 2in1 laptop on Windows 11.

Alignment Options Removed from Floating Panel in Latest InDesign
>>>Is it possible that the latest version of InDesign removed the option to choose whether to align to objects or to the page from the floating Alignment panel? It was great that we could align via the top toolbar with page alignment selected while keeping object alignment in the floating panel, so we didn’t have to constantly switch between the two modes.

Diacritic Positioning on English Fonts
>>>We currently need to use Diacritic positioning on english fonts and in the 2025 version this isn't supported. So you could technically set the Diacritic position, but it's not showing the result on the document. However, this still works only on middle eastern fonts like Hebrew.
>>This worked perfectly fine in the 2020 version for english fonts as well as middle eastern fonts. After the update to the 2025 version, the Diacritic positioning support for english fonts isn't working.
>>We attached two pictures from the 2020 version where this is working, and the same document from the 2025 version where the feature isn't supported - again you can set the position but this isn't reflected in the document.
>>Steps to reproduce: Select an english font (For example: Adobe Garamond Pro). Try to add a diacritic mark on a letter. Now try to position the mark with Diacritic positioning - this will not be reflected in the document.
>>Expected result: Diacritic positioning should work in english fonts, like it worked in previous InDesign versions.
>>Actual result: Can set up Diacritic position, but it does not actually position the sign relative to the letter but stays in place.

cc library save does not retain edits
>>>CC Library items: Before I could open a CC library item, make edits, and save. The edits would be retained. Lately when trying to do this the edits have not been retained. When reopening in the CC library it opens the reverted document. Was this potentially fixed in the recent upgrade to 20.1?

adobe communicating across screen withs images
>>>For some reason whnever indesign opens it opens super huge (I have 3 screens) and across all the screens and I always try and make it smaller but I cant even reach the bottom and its super frustrating because for some reason it communicates across my screens so when I move an image IN INDESIGN it moves it onto the desktop of the screen over? I think its got something to do with how big indesign always opens but like how does it even do that??

20.1 won't open some files.. just spins.
>>>20.1 InDesign won't open some files. Also slow beachballs. v19.5.2 won't show images. I need to go back to 19.5.1 and stay there forever I guess.
>>Edit: Update: Downgraded back to 19.5.1. Everything is working perfectly. Thanks Adobe for allowing very easy downgrades. EXCELLENT.

When moving files from one folder to another a message says "Preparing to move"
>>>Indesign 20.1, MacOS 15.3, M4 Pro.
>
> The message persists for about 1 minute and then the file successfully moves. This only happens with Indesign files. I've tested with files from version 20.1 and version 19.5. Both of these produce the issue. My older files created in version 18 work fine. I can move them with no problem.1 vote -
Objects getting set to 0% opacity on IDML export
>>>I can’t share an example file because it’s client work, but when I have exported IDML files recently (to fix a problematic/crashy INDD file), they always have 90%+ of the illustrations — including anything that is present on a master page — set to 0% opacity.
>>Fortunately, using the Find & Replace panel to search for anything with 0% opacity is pretty easy, but … it is a little disconcerting that things have changed at all!
>>(I’m on a Mac running macOS 15.2 and InDesign 20.1, but I had this issue with the previous version of InDesign as well.)

not opening files
>>>Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server - Version 20 (beta), running on Windows 11
>>Steps to reproduce the issues - In Windows file explorer, I double click on an .indd file
>>Expected result - InDesign would then open the file
>>Actual result - InDesign opens, but will not open the file. The only ways I can open an .indd file in InDesign is by using the Open command or by dragging and dropping an .indd file into it.

Logitech mouse zoom in/out not working
>>>I am on a Mac (Sequoia) using Adobe InDesign (20.1) with a Logitech MX Master 3 (and Logi Options+ version 1.85.655119). For years, I've been able to use the thumb wheel of my mouse to zoom in and out (assigned in Logi Options+), but for some reason in the past month or so, this functionality stopped working. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Adobe + Logi apps, ensured firmware is current, etc. This is a major workflow efficiency killer — would love to see it resolved.

Output to PDF removes bleed
>>>Summary: Output to PDF removed bleed
>>Details:
>>I laid out a book in Indesign using the 'Book' feature, with several similar sections or documents linked as a 'Book'. Each document based on the same original so all had same settings.
>>I needed to output to PDF for the printer, Mixam UK. I downloaded the printer's settings, which include: output to single pages, bleed with no marks, with 'use document bleed' checked.
>>I had set up the documents in Indesign in spreads with 3mm bleed as usual from the start. When looking at the output settings BEFORE output, I could see it still said 'use document settings' and showed 3mm bleed all round. See attached screenshot.
>>I then output the book (Export Book to PDF) to single page PDF and uploaded to printer's website.
>>I did not notice the document in fact had ZERO BLEED. The printer alerted me. I went back and output again. This time I looked more carefully and saw that 'use document bleed' was still ticked (checked), but it had reset to 0mm. I think it does it at the point of exporting the whole 'Book'.
>>Workaround: I unticked 'use document bleed' and changed the bleed manually in that box to 3mm. Problem solved.
>>I see that a similar issue has been noted by Adobe but one suggested workaround is to export as single pages, link below. But I was using single pages so that is NOT the solution. Something is going wrong with 'use document settings', perhaps because it was a Book and not a single doc. (I did check each Indesign document is set up with 3mm bleed - yes they are.)
>>I'm working on a Mac running OS 12.6 and Adobe Indesign 2023 on subscription.
>>Anyway hope you can work on this and provide a fix or announcement so that other people don't send off their work without bleed.
>>Of course the fact the printer demands a bleed without marks is making it harder for me as customer to check I've got bleed in my PDF! That bit is not your problem!
>>Side note: this window for reporting bugs is too small! It's hard to see what I've already said or edit it.
>>Thank you.

InDesign crashes when trying to cut, and/or copy, a table from the paragraph level
>>>Different versions of InDesign have this problem including 2023, 2024, and 2025 - on Mac Monteray.
>>If I attempt to highlight tables from the paragraph level and copy or cut, either with menus or key commands, InDesign will either immediately crash, or beach ball a bit and then crash.
>>Upon reopening InDesign, the menus will not appear. I have to use the keyboard commands to quit InDesign again. Upon reopening, it will work properly again... that is unless I attempt to copy or cut another table.
>>Please fix! I'm constantly working with complicated tables and the only way to get them to remain consistant is to copy and paste them!!
>>In the attached screenshot you can see how I am highlighting the tables.
>>NOTE: These tables include form fields. I noticed I am able to copy/cut tables that do not include them - so maybe that's an issue?
>>NOTE 2: Also, I'm able to delete (without cutting) so clipboard issue??
>>Also, a friend working on a PC was able to copy/cut - so looks like a Mac problem.
>>EDIT: Form fields are the problem - deleting them solves it. I need the form fields - anything you can do to help?

Extra Print Dialog Box
>>>I updated my operating system to Window 11 last week. Now, every time I go to print from InDesign, when I hit the setup screen to enter my printer settings, I get an additional dialog box. On the box I have to click the "more settings" link to get to my printer.
>>I go to my printer's dialog box, select my settings there, click print, then I have to click print on that new dialog box which takes me back to the original InDesign print dialog box. All of my settings on there for the project that I had selected before hitting the "setup" button are now changed.

Unable to select multiple objects when hidden spreads are in document
>>>InDesign version: 20.1
>>There seems to be a bug that occurs when there are hidden spreads in the document, where you cannot click and drag to select items on a visible spread. Also when you copy content from one spread to another it doesn't transfer to the current selected page. See below for my experience:

Want to be able to anchor an object to the text it belongs with AND have the text wrap around it
>>>Because of the way text anchors work in Indesign, I always have to anchor objects that require text wrap to something ABOVE the actual text I want the image to stay with. Why does Indesign work this way - i.e., not allowing text to wrap before the anchor? This is a problem the image will now be separated from it's text when the text breaks a page, defeating the whole purpose of anchoring. Is this really so hard to fix?
