Spellcheck Bug
Spellcheck/User Dictionary keeps defaulting to random languages and cannot not be changed. I've changed my preferences to English (US) several times manually and it will not fix the problem. Please fix this bug.

widespread issues with unicode fonts (tibetan) and footnotes
macos 10.13.6, ID 15.1.3
completely wacky behaviour of footnotes in combination with unicode tibetan fonts (dduchen, noto, babelstone tibetan). fn numbers in text do not follow formatting, in footnote reference numbers are only one digit (most of the time) and sometimes proper digits (occacionally). odd spaces before letters and words (all fonts), strange behavior with formate changes. this is as ********* as it gets.1 vote -
Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts
On a Mac [10.14.6] I set the F8 key to bring up the Paragraph Style Option box [image attached]. With the most recent update the F8 key does not work unless I have the Paragraph Style Panel open [image attached]. This is an obscure bug but it just means I need one more panel open to access the F8 shortcut. This short cut has worked for a zillion years until now. I hope this is of assistance. Thanks.

Object menu options not working/ not present/
InDesign version 2017 CC
Using plugins for work flow media news.
Not updated InDesign since the plugins have not released newer supportive version to latest InDesign versions.
I cannot use Object menu options like Fitting, Lock, Arrange..
I have reset the preferences multiple times.
Its just not solving this issue.

Tint slider disappears/doesn't work in 16.1
The tint slider in the swatches window in the newest update for the Mac version of InDesign (16.1) on Big Sur appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears. You can type in the tint % box, but the slider is inoperable.

Search box when updating link
When I want to update a link and press the link button, an "open/find file-window" is opened. I then often want to search or the file using the file name, but when I press the search box in the upper right hand corner this box is suddenly shrunk to a much smaller size which very small font which is thus illegible (this does not happen when I do the same maneuvre in e.g. Windows Explorer). I want the box to remain the same size so I can see the search term I type.

Display QuickBooks Hidden Files and Folders in Windows

CC Libraries panel gets stuck a lot!
When I reboot Indesign it comes back to life but after a short time gets stuck again. Sometimes it just stops responding and sometimes the panel is also enlarged and cropped like the screenshot attached.

resetting preferences doesn't work
I've tried the Shift-Command-Option-Control key combination when launching InDesign, making sure to hit those keys immediately after launching. I've tried deleting all the preferences and caches files I know about, according to the search results I see online about such files for InDesign. I've tried restarting my computer, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign.
But the preferences just WILL NOT RESET no matter what I do. Whaaaaa? When using the key combination, I don't get the "reset preferences" dialog. When deleting the files, I restart and find the same setup I had before trying to reset, when the setup…

Big Sur "Half Fold - Print Outside" Bug
Printing from a Mac with OS Big Sur, Version 16.1 Indesign. Ricoh MP C3504ex with PostScript card.
The printing option "Half Fold - Print Outside" will result in only 1 print no matter how many copies you choose.
Example I want 15 copies of a church bulletin I apply the necessary settings and hit print. Instead of getting 15 I only get 1.
Tested on High Sierra with Indesign V 13.1 and it works perfectly.

double spaces
I write a lot in InDesign because i layout in the same time. When writing an rewriting there is often a problem with double spaces since you change and move text. The software tells you when words are used twice but not spaces. That would be of great help because they are difficult to recognice!

Since I am using Mac PC with M1 chip I can not get any PDF done even my InDD version is 16.1
Does anyone has any idea WHY?

Print InDesign
Develop some way for the printer settings to be put in order. I work with 18 HP 9050 printers, both with the same drive and configuration, but in InDesign they get jammed. Example:
Printer 1 (Standard)
Printer 5
Printer 16
Printer 3
Printer 8
Printer 2

Overprint Preview switches off when viewing Story Editor
I view the InDesign file in Overprint Preview.
I then need to check some text that isn't quite visible on the page.
Select the text frame and view it in Story Editor so I can ensure it matches what was supplied.
Once you do this - Overprint Preview switches off.1 vote
