Links panel sorting
InDesign CC 2018, 13.1 (mac os 10.13.4)
panels: links: panel options: show column: Scale.
Bug:
The sorting function for "Scale" in links panel doesn't work properly.
If I sort by scaling percentages, they list incorrectly.Example: 187 % comes between 21 % and 15 %.
That means it sorts them alphabetically as digits, but should sort them as numbers. Please fix.5 votesHello All,

If Paragraph Format uses Shade, only the first line is underlined (instead of all) (Layer Problem!)
Its not a suggestion, its a bug.
Under Indesign 13.1, when e.g. a whole page is styled to have a gray shade behind it, and some paragraphs have to be undelined, then ALWAYS the Line before a hard return does not show the underline, because I suppose a layer problem occurs. Indesign seems to see the text on top, then applies the shade and under that the underlining for the text, which won't be shown then. The descenders are shown normally, since they are on top in the text layer. I have not found a way to tell the underline…5 votesHi,

Windows recents files (at opening)
Sometimes the files are two times on the panel (same file) and sometimes is a wrong link (opening an other file the icon seems to be).
Quit, refresh, open an other file : nothing to get the right link.
Since the late update march 2018 ; I am on 13.1.

You can download the latest version of InDesign from the Creative Cloud Desktop application.
Please confirm if the issue has got fixed.

Outside aligned strokes are buggy
After outlining text, putting an outside or inside stroke on it produces odd results. It seems it aligns to the absolute outside of the object, rather than the edges like it does in other Adobe programs. I've attached an example of what adding an outside stroke to an outlined 'e' looks like in both Indesign and Ilustrator looks like. This seems to effect any object that has a section cut out.

Error Message "you cannot reverse this change with the edit > undo command".
This comes up continuously. The only way you can dispose of it is by shutting the program down. Apparently I am not the only person, as it been reported before. See the Adobe forum the same problem - forums.adobe.com/thread/2292990
This makes it an official problem not exclusive to my experience.
Do we have fix???

Character style applied to Table of Contents header
When creating a book's table of contents (TOC), if you apply a character style to the first chapter, that style is applied to the TOC entry but it's also wrongly applied to the TOC header as well. It seems to be taking whatever character style that's applied to the first letter in the first chapter.
I have a sample file I can send.
Tested in InDesign 2024 and 2022 for Mac.

data merge images
InDesign 20.0.1 on MaxOS 15.1.1 (24B91), the Data merge for images does not work. There are no errors or warmings, but upon previewing, exporting or merging the images to not populate. The same data file and downsaved indd file (ver 19) works.

[ID-4256362]Cannot drag and drop InDesign files into InDesign
With no open files in InDesign, I cannot drag and drop an InDesign file from Explorer into InDesign. Double-clicking an InDesign file does work. Selecting multiple InDesign files in Explorer and then pressing the Enter key does work whether InDesign is running or not.

If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application click on the context menu on the top right, and click on Check for App Updates.

Indesign 19 will not find paths to files in data merge, but Indesign 18 works fine.

QR code clickable
Hello. I have an idea regarding the InDesign program. It would be great if the generated QR codes in the interactive PDF were clickable. Is it possible to implement this? Currently, I manually assign hyperlinks to each QR code.

InDesign V19.1 Updated Jan 18 2024 Bug: Double click on text frame moves the frame every time
With the new version 19.1, every time I double click on a text box to change text, after each double click the text box is moving a tiny bit. This happens every time in any document and after a program restart.

Display issue
Lines and slightly shifted objects. When I scroll up and down theses lines disappear and reappear elsewhere (=> screenshots 2 and 2B). Since the update to CC 2023, these display errors only appear in Indesign, not in other programs.

Absurd translation of the word "spread" in Czech UI
Please correct the absurd translation of the “spread” on the Effects window. In this context, you cannot translate it as “dvojstránky” (= two pages) but rather “rozšíření” – in InDesign CS6 the translation is correct.
Please note that in some languages one word can have multiple meanings. For example, in Czech we have one word for month and moon. The words are not interchangeable, you can’t say “the moon of July” in English. But this is exactly how you translate the aformentioned expression!
It is the same with the word spread in English, it has multiple meanings and cannot be translated…

InDesign window defaults fullscreen after escaping presentation mode
When entering presentation mode (shift+w), and then escape, InDesign windows becomes fullscreen.
When I come out of presentation view the window size gets forgotten and automatically becomes the size of my entire screen (very annoying to keep having to resize the window all the time, completely disrupts my work flow) It even cuts off the bottom tool bar, which I use a lot.
I have an M1 Macbook, Indeisgn 17.4
I have previously posted this and told that the issue was fixed. I followed all instructions and the issue is still there.

OCR F font is no longer displayed
InDesign 17.2
Since I upgraded to InDesign 17.2, the OCR F font is no longer displayed. The font runs perfectly on Illustrator and other programmes.
I have cleared the font cache, reinstalled InDesign and re-downloaded and reinstalled the font from Lynotype.
This font simply does not seem to exist for InDesign!4 votes -
Can not save or export in MacOS Montery
- version 17.0, apple M1 (also rosetta) MacOS Montery
- Click File, then click Save, Save As or Export
- A window pops up to save or export
- Nothing shows..
- nothing to show....
I can work on my files, but can not save, save as or export anything.

Stop adding the word "Folder" to packaged file names.
Stop adding the word "Folder" to packaged files. My folder names are already long enough and I can tell by the icon that my end product is a folder without it ending in the word "Folder." Would be thrilled if you removed this automatic addition from InDesign.
