  1. W key doesn't work in 16.1 or 16.2.1 on Windows 10

    Title says it all. I deleted preferences and restarted the computer, and W just doesn't work to switch the screen mode. I installed 16.0 and W works fine there.

  2. Keyboard Intermittently disabled after opening file

    In InDesign 16.2.1, often when I open files it's like the keyboard shortcuts are disabled. I hit Ctrl+A to select all, or I select something and hit the delete key and nothing happens. I have to close the file, but not InDesign, and then re-open it to make things work correctly.

  3. Try to export a small file size pdf but get error message everytime

    The previous InDesign document exported to a pdf no problem but for some reason next updated version will not! INFURIATING...I'm on a magazine deadline too!!!
    InDesign 16.2.1 x64
    and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2021.001.20155

  4. InDesign M1 Expired

    Hi,

    Just downloaded (2021-06-01) the M1 version and ... seems 'expired'.

    I've have 'repaired' CreativeCloud, logged out, removed the InDesign M1 version then reinstalled it but I always get the 16.3.0.5 version.

    I've found a post re this expiration which told about the 16.3.0.14 but where can I get it ?

  7. Drag-Duplicating using Alt/Opt key does not work if key is pressed after dragging

    I am working on Mac OS Big Sur v 11.3.1 using Indesign CS 2020 16.2.1.
    I cannot duplicate images using the command option shift key.
    I have also noticed that holding the shift key down to proportionately size images is also not working. Could you advise if this issue can be solved? I have read the thread posted in 2020 and it said it was under review. I tried the workaround suggested changing live Screen drawing to "never" but this has not changed anything. Please help! Thanks.

  8. Selection Tool cursor disappear issue

    Reposting this issue from Beta Version as it has not been resolved
    I am using Indesign Prelease 16.3
    Cursor disappears after period of inactivity.
    Cursor will appear if hovering over an object, otherwise invisible.
    A restart will resolve this which is not ideal

  9. The Same Adobe Font is Considered Different for Different Users

    InDesign Version: 16.2.1

    Steps to reproduce issue: Open an InDesign file, set font to "Montserrat" (the Adobe Font version), save. Another person opens up the file. Instead of displaying "Montserrat", the font shows as "Montserrat (OTF)" in the font menu and all the text is highlighted red because that "font" isn't activated. If that person changes the font to "Montserrat" on their computer and saves the file, the same issue happens on my end. It's essentially treating both of our Montserrat fonts as different fonts, even though we're both using Adobe Fonts.

    The toolbar is unable to be reached. I cannot drag the application window into complete view. I can see that it is there (2nd pic), but I am unable to move the whole window.

  15. missing simple guillemets German version

    When selecting in "Wörterbuch" the alternative German quotation mark - the reversed guillemets (».«) I can't select the simple version (›.‹).
    Only the French version is selectable (‹.›) …
    No other DTP software, like Quark XPress, Framemaker or ViaDesigner, has this bug, it's only Indesign …

  16. InDesign 2021 v16.2.1: Glitchy preview on opening

    InDesign 2021 v16.2.1: I have been experiencing viewing issues with the latest update. Whenever I open a file the preview is either blank (grey) or doesn't show correctly/looks glitchy. This happens on all documents that were previously fine. The preview glitch appears periodically when I'm working on the document as well as first open so I have to either close the document and reopen or, strangely, turn on/off the rulers? I haven't seen this before – any help appreciated! I have attached an initial open and after I turn on rulers screenshots to demonstrate. Please can you help?

  17. TOC is not reading page number correcting.

    The title I'm creating TOC from contains the 'current page number' marker.

    It doesn't matter the format of the numbering I have set, ie. a, b, c or i. ii. iii or 001, 002, 003.

    it will only show the absolute number of the page in the document.

  18. the proofreader does not underline mistakes in InDesign

  19. InDesign UI frame changes colour

    I guess this is a bug but i actually think it could be a good idea. Attached are a couple of examples of what's happened on my screen from time to time. The UI takes on a florescent colour - and all palette names/numbers, etc change to this colour.
    Small appearing UI's seems to have been quite a big topic in recent years - especially as we all move toward 4K screens. So this 'bug', if that's what it is, seems to work really well for me and gives the whole workspace much more clarity. But i just have no…
