InDesign publish online broken links and missing objects
Have major problem with publish online, missing objects and links with question marks showing. This comes after 8 months working on this document with no issues at all. Really need this sorting by Adobe as I have to deliver project at end of this month latest.
Here's how it appears
https://indd.adobe.com/view/b91790d7-6683-449b-b86c-0b72ed80a746
If you look at attached image, that's how it appears within InDesign

The fix has been deployed on the Production.

This seems like an old bug reported and fixed, however as of today 2/2/2023 I'm having the experience of InDesign active image links not showing when published online. Actually one of four is working while the others do not. All links work fine in PDF, but no-go for online use

Sorry, Sanyam, I think my last post was perhaps false alarm.
The missing elements in the case of user @eugenp8805642 are missing in the PDF.My theory: Buttons in the original layout that will not show up with Adobe PDF (Print) export.

Hi Sanyam,
possibly the issue is not fixed for all users.
There was feedback in the InDesign User Forum by user @eugenp8805642 that the issue is not fixed for him:Note: To see this comment and the following ones you have to switch your forum settings to:
Setting > Linear View
Sort > Latest
Go to the top of Page 1 of the threadThat's because of a forum bug with merged threads!

Sorry again, abut all these notices will be read also by ADOBE. Why doesn't Adobe give a feedback on what they're doing. I mean reading all the notices I catched up, that for some companies like mine it is really crucial and critical. How can we explain our clients that the mistake is not our. 1st of all they do not believe us, but 2nd it is not the point. The system should work and I'm happy that I'm not the only one..... Can we create a little bit pressure on the company?

Please fix it, definitely a huge problem for our company . Needs to be fixed ASAP.

Same problem here for many of us. It can be images/vector or even text that ends up missing.
And like someone else mentioned - fixing one can somehow lead to another going missing -

For some reason this is only happening on the very first page of our decks, with our client's logos. This is hugely important for our business!

Same problem as well. Can be text, JPG graphics, or even just boxes with a color fill. Thumbnails show correct, but main screen image does not. Seems a recent issue. Even previous docs that were published with no problem now have the same issue.

I'm in the U.S., but my client in Kuala Lumpur is seeing different text blocks missing than the ones I'm seeing online. Same document, same link from Publish Online. I'm on Mac OS 11.6.4, InDesign 17.1.0.50 viewing on Safari and Firefox; my KL client is Windows 11, viewing on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
The only common denominator seems to be that the text frames that go missing (randomly) have hyperlinks, BUT not ALL text frames containing hyperlinks are missing.

hi we're having the same issue, it seems if you fix one of the missing images indesign will just single out another at random, like a cruel joke. will we be updated on a fix after posting here?

I am having the same problem on various publications I've created.
It's began to happen since around the early March this year after months of not having this issue.
Please resolve it!!! Sometimes the publication doesn't even display properly in the center of the frame!! -

Same random broken links issue here. Playing upload roulette and different images dropping every time. A few notes:
This problem is brand new with me - about 8 days old
It's happening with every file I try to publish - even old files that previously published fine
I work from home with my own internet but connect to a company server via VPN
I tried uninstalling InDesign and reinstalling v. 17.0 - didn't help
I tried packaging the file and Publishing from my computer - didn't help
My colleague is publishing my files without issue (same company and VPN connection, same InDesign version 17.1, also working from home)
I tried clearing my browser caches (Chrome and Microsoft Edge) and tried the link in private windows - didn't helpPatiently waiting for someone to discover what is happening.

Ohhh come on dear ADOBE I'm having the same problem and catching a lot of complaints from customer-side. If this is going on from the 4th of march it seems really a small desaster on ADOBE-side.
Please help us, I use adobe since 1983 (formerly Pagemaker). -
