In InDesign CC 2019 slow Reaction Time and lag on clicking from one object to another.

Using InDesign CC 14.0 on Windows 10. I have an magazine layout with text and picture boxes, of course. When clicking from one box to another, there is a long delay, a temporary freeze. Eventually (20-30 seconds) it awakens and I can move on. But it's happening more frequently, even after a reboot.

Is this an issue of my computer talking to Adobe servers?

Nothing to screen shot, there is no message.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your patience all this while.
    This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.
    Do let us know in the comments, if you face any problem with the new update.

        I 'm having exact the same problem. Its driving me nuts every time the spinning beach ball appears after almost every activity. It downgrades the work speed ánd it generates problems like unintended movement of objects, etc, etc, etc.
        Please fix this problem!

        @ Quality Engineer InDesign Abhinav Kaushik: maybe you could alter your ‘Fixed’ message above to ‘WIP’ so you make us feel like you are busy fixing this.

        Dear Abhinav, dear Adobe,
        it looks like that the "slow reaction time" is also a problem within this uservoice forum. Can you please answer to all the complains that were made after you labeled the issue as "fixed"?

        As a first step we would be happy to read from you something like "Thank you for all your comments. We see that the problem is not fixed for every user so we continued to find a solution with the next version of InDesign."

        For every click, every keystroke I wait for 2 seconds. Please wake me up from this nightmare.

        Hello, we still have issues with long response time on 14.0.1. CC 2018 works much better.

        Hi there, I just tried Window 10 "Settings" >> "Advanced graphic setting" >> "Graphics Performance Per App" Settings: 'desktop app > browse > locate Indesign.exe and then set to High performance
        At least in my case it seems like this solves the problem. :)

        This has always worked for me: customize your control panel (upper right) so it doesn't show your character fonts. This does mean you can't use the properties panel. (But that shouldn't matter right? I always considered the properties panel a feature to accomodate new users). So I figure a font list that got too extensive affected this lag, as if it needs to be loaded every time the control panel switches to the font list. With the new preview features for fonts, I guess it only got worse... As a result, I also only open my Character Panel unless needed.

        When will this issue be adressed properly?! The issue is consistent on all our machines, regardless of operating system and we are losing HOURS every day when working with books for printing.

        Had this problem in CC 2018 also. 2019 was OK at first, but is now lagging when selecting an item or attempting to edit text. $57 a month. Every month. Forever.

        Adobe it is not fair that you charge me Subscription and give me lagged indesign. i cant use this. My work is absolutely halted because of this. Please Fix it.

        Running InDesign 14.0.1 2019 on a new Dell PC. Tried all of the suggestions and still type commands are very slow with a long delay. It works fine on my Mac Book Air.

        Anyone using Extensis Suitcase? After a couple hours working with InDesign, it crawls trying to type something. I briefly see a dialog box with the word Extensis but it goes away too quickly.

        Has this really been fixed? I get horrendous lag, the same as the post above.

        When are you going to fix this? Again, I have got to be at work on a sunday as InDesign slowness makes me late on all my works. Not giving an answer does not show much respect for your customers. If we have to wait too long, I am beginning to consider turning to "the other" product.
