Fix of the issue is now available in InDesign’s latest November’17 update.
Please upgrade to the latest version InDesign CC 13.0.1 for the fix.

If you are unable to see the update, go to Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

    Happens for me too : in a table or regular text box (with Paragraph and character styles)…
    I reset the preferences: no changes

    It seems this problem occurs mostly when selecting elements in a table, not a regular text box. At least that's when it crashes for me.

    This happens everytime as soon as I press "I" for the the eyedropper on MAC.

    It's crashed on me several times, all I am doing is attempting to use the eyedropper. Doesn't do it every time, but eyedropper + table seems to set it off? HELP this is so annoying......

    When you use the Eyedropper Tool on a Table, it crashes the program. We have tested this multiple times, and each time it has crashed.

    I have had this issue. I have worked around it by coping the text from the cell that has the style and pasting it to the pasteboard. From there I have been able to format the un-stylized text. Let me know if this works for you. This is a temp work around. Spend all morning reopening the InDesign.

    We have the same problem with the pipette.

    Following the update of indesign 2018 when I use the pipette in the tables, indesign crashes each time.

    I of course tried with several different files, same result.

    InDesign crashes when using the colour picker especially within a table. Also unable to change fonts!
